Halting a rapid decline
As classic a line as this is, I don't know where to start. Seriously. I've been sitting here for five minutes already. There's no way to say it that doesn't make the responses predictable. It's long, if you can't be bothered reading it, then don't flame me because you're lazy.
Things have changed with my girlfriend. Before, she'd do anythin to spend time with me, to do whatever as long as we were together. Now, she'll make every excuse so she doesn't have to.
Points in question:
First. She's gone away for a week and a half, and I'm going away before she comes back, adding up to three or so weeks we wont see each other. Now, before she left, things were going downhill for a while, and it was a little wierd. We've been nowhere near as close as we used to be, and she's been talking to a couple of people, mainly her best friend who thinks I should die, and my self-proclaimed best friend, who, if it came down to it, I wouldn't trust with anything. They've been telling her that I'm 'bad for her' and things of that nature. So she's had two or more people telling her to leave me, which has made her think about stuff, and confused her.
So anyway, things made a turn for the better a few days before she left. They started to get back on track and yeah.
Before, when stuff was good, I would bail to her house every week or so, sometimes more, rarely less. She'd let me in, I'd spend the night with her, go home in the morning, and noone was ever the wiser. It got to the point she was asking me to go, and I couldn't because of the massive amounts of sleep deprivation I was suffering from. So she really liked it anyway.
So I knew she was going away for ages, so I asked her if she wanted me to come over. The answer? A flat out no. Why not? She didn't feel like it. So for the two nights before she left, I was sitting at home wishing I wasn't.
This is wierd. Before, she'd jump at the chance to see me before she went away for that long. Now, she can't even put in the effort to make up a good excuse.
Secondly, tonight talking to her on the phone, I asked if she wanted to catch up day after I get back, before we go back to school. Suddenly she goes from happy to spooked, not wanting to make any tentative plans or anything. Which is again, the opposite of how she used to be.
There's some other stuff in there too, like how I doubt my 'friend's' intentions, but I won't go into that for now, unless anyone wants. I've made you read too long already.
I don't really have anything I need to ask. I just wanted to let all that out. But since I have, I'll ask this;
What would you do to stop this getting to you? I get the feeling most of it is just me being my paranoid, depressive self, so what can I do to get it out my head, and remind myself that she actually wants to be with me?
What can I do to stop myself punching out my 'friend' too? There's just so much stuff that makes me feel he's doing something wrong, but I can't be sure.
Flamers, I don't want to hear it. I know you might be the god of all that is holy, but unless you've got something constructive, I don't want to know about it.
