My mates invited me to their shacks with them up the coast a bit over easter break, then leave a day early without telling me, and are now not taking my calls. These are the guys I thought were my mates, but WTF? I spend lunchtimes with them at school, and skate most weekends with them, and drink at parties with them, do all the normal mates stuff, but now they are fucking avoiding me and ditching me. Not the first time they have done shit like this either.

Does anyone else have shit mates like this? Or do I not even have them beacasue mates don't do that shit?

It's probably not even as bad as you think; something unexpected probably happened, then they just didn't answer your calls because they felt bad... Wait until you've spoken to them, at least, before you start getting all depressed.

I'm not depressed dude, just pissed off because they do this shit alot to me. oh and anyone who saw my other thread, she messaged me tonight saying we need to talk, so I think she is going to to the work for me :D

yes, though they are not much more than acquaintances. fuck them. i've learned you pretty much can't trust anyone but yourself. i try to avoid situations where i have to rely on other people at all costs. i only have 2 friends that i really trust, and a shitload of mates that i can socialise and have fun with but i wouldn't trust or rely on them on most anything.

i fucking hate when people make plans with me and then just bail. ive had it happen twice in the same day two times in a row. lets get friends that dont suck.

I don't associate with people who would do that anymore. The simple fact is that your "friends" don't respect you at all and they probably ditched you on the slightest of whims. Dump them.
