Im having trouble reconciling with the ever changing idea of sex in society and my own ideas about how people should handle their desires...

Sex is natural and its basic, but i really hate how so many people are so casual about it nowadays. Its supposed to be special, but nearly everybody i know cheapens its true meaning, and the possibility of me sharing my soul with somebody by having amazing sex seems a long ways off. I know other people have to feel this way too, that's why i posted this.

This seems to be where your beliefs and those commonly held seem to diverge. Have you considered why people may think it is not special, or why people might never even think of sex as being capable of holding such an attribute. Like pretty much every other bonding experience it is completely dependent on the meanings ascribed to it personally... culture right now is quite open with sex and as such is a pervasive force in making sex seem like an empty act but that's really just a symbol.

If I were you, I wouldn't be disheartened.. you should know when you meet someone who shares the same ideals of the experience known as sex you will have a VERY bonding experience.
