Shameless Plugs.
Hey all. I guess it's probably been a while, don't really know what keeps dragging me back into totse's web of lies and deceit, but things seem to be alright since the whole "change". Interesting to see there's a dedicated thread to graffiti now, that's all it used to seem to be around here. But anyway, making a contribution of sorts.
Haven't really been motivated to do a great deal lately, most of these are pretty old. Oldest might be about three of four years, don't quite remember. Anyhow. Onwards. Screen and intaglio prints, a few pen and ink. Most of the paint has a bit of clay thrown in. Not a great deal of anything digital aside from maybe three on a wacom tablet. *Takes an art-dump in A&D*. Poop.

Re: Shameless Plugs.
Where to start...
Ok, the fetusbot is awesome, this is pretty cool, I like the use of colours, and that is awesome. I can't think up words to describe this stuff...
I'm still looking through it.
I'm not going to comment on all of these, but you are truly talented. You have a gift for drawing.
Awesome, at the least.

Re: Shameless Plugs.
Thanks man. Having someone point out certain things tends to remind me where I was supposed to be going with them. Not too sure about the fetusbot or the pink preying mantis, but that other red painting was one of a stack I did with some DaliGourd or FutureGourd idea in mind, same thing in that first picture, hanging somewhat.
I was going to try and put together one of those boring/arthouse/serious comics with no real sense of storyline or purpose, about some gourd of infinite wisdom that spans all space and time, and have it sitting in this tree-thing for millions of years in the same spot. Each frame with some sort of wise comment about all the trivial evolution-related crap going on in the background.
Wouldn't really know how to end it though. World exists, cavemen show up, evolve, evolve to present, evolve to future, fuck everything up, revert to cavemen, caveman spears gourd and eats it? Maybe they all eat it and humanity become enlightened? No idea. /babble.

Re: Shameless Plugs.
Thanks again. Yes, they've been posted in a few places other than here, also here about a year back. Just found the topic when searching the other day. no longer on any page, but still floating about. Otherwise I'm one of those terrible myspace fags, had a few of those pictures in the forum over there a while ago.

Re: Shameless Plugs.
Wow, these are truly amazing, some of these are the best things I've ever seen, I really love the skulls. Things like this make me want ti draw, even though I suck.

Re: Shameless Plugs.
Thanks yet again. The skulls were quite a weird thing to try and do, and in real life they're only postcard size or smaller. Been wanting to give that technique a try again but haven't had the tools to do it, and anyone can make some seriously interesting prints by doing the same thing.
The two brown skulls are the prints I'm talking about, being reversed, the one in sort-of-colour's a drawing just with an artliner, masking tape, a few cotton buds with black, white and orange ink.
Anyway, the printing. "Intaglio" they call it, not sure about the spelling. anyone with a small press or ghetto homemade heavy roller thing should give it a shot. You get a drawing or start from scratch, doesn't matter, but scratch it onto a sheet of acetate. If you're in school or otherwise it's the clear plastic they make photocopies for overheads with. Anyway, scratch it on, slather it up with thick water-based ink and gently rub it off with different materials.
You could just use a rag, but those two were started with gauze and finished with cotton. Mabe a bit of newspaper. It's like the opposite to relief printing, all the texture and shading comes from the material, you can get some really crazy results. Forgot to add, you print it onto WET paper that's sat around for a good hour or so.
Only works for about 4 or five prints though. Once you flatten out the scratches, it's stuffed. No idea why I wrote all that. Give it a shot though.
edit: Kwinnybogan, I can't help but think I know you from somewhere. I went to school with a Kwinny, who's also a bogan, but one of those proper bogans without a job or internets.
