love to hate
Why do relationships go from being in love to hate. i think its because when you are with that person you look past all of their faults, but when you have broken up you see them all an hate them for it. like one of my ex gf's i thought she was perfect but now i realize that she has some serious mental issues. she is over sexual, at the time of going out with he i thought it was awesome, but now i realize that its just wierd. she is very "sluty" in ways i dont have the patience to type but i realize now that it is just her own insecurity.
she talks all the time, i do mean all the time, as in she is aways the center of attention.
back to her sensuality, she is very sexual yet she is a virgin, i was shocked. this may be due to the fact that she never really had a childhood as she was adopted at age 5 after being tossed around. she was awesome as a friend and even better as a girlfriend but now she just is annoying.
i appologize for the amphetamine induced rant, but how the hell is this possible? you like someone so much one minute and then hate them with all your heart the next, as in i was about to throw a soccer ball at her face to make her shut the fuck up in phys. ed.
this also could have been the fact that i get really edgey on amps. but still how can the words "lets see other people" change your thinking so much?

Re: love to hate
Happens to me every time. I think it has something to do with idealizing a girl during those first weeks when you're really into her, then once the initial passion-rush dies off you start to see the gap between the ideal and the reality. The disillusionment and disappointment engendered by this gap causes you to become hyper-sensitive to the other person's flaws and notice them much more. And the realization that everyone has flaws somehow doesn't change how one feels about these flaws.
I guess it's better to operate without expectations, something I wish I knew how to do. My somewhat obsessive & mercurial personality makes this very fucking difficult.
And I should add: the fact that her flaws bother you so much indicates that there's at least some level of passion & maybe love going on. It's better than falling out of love completely, which just makes you feel like an asshole.

Re: love to hate
well, if we could go back to being friends that would be chill, but i doubt that will ever happen. so yes there is a certain passion, but it is so damn strange that one week i would take a bullet for her but the next let her take it, if that makes any sense. it seems also that the chicks have the last say in the relationship.
when i was dating this sweet ass chick from my old school i realized i didnt really care as much about her as i once did, we broke up but later got back together, after much crying and pleading on her part, and then we break up and this time its her decision. i ask her back and she says no.
its always the chicks who have the final word it seems, that relationship also turned into pure loatheing(sp?) within a week.
Its like they think we just let this stuf roll of our backs.
fuck it never mind. im just coming down and pissed off.

Re: love to hate
i dunno. i definitely hated my ex for a while, but then we patched things up for a while. then i realized she really is annoying as hell, so i dont really talk to her much, but i dont hate her or anything anymore.
i guess it really is a matter of just getting over her completely.

I think Ted from Scrubs said it best:
"... since my wife left I've found it hard to see past the evil."

Re: love to hate
well, i cant because, like my last gf she is friends with my friends so she is always around. so for example she gets messed up and chills with us, shes all laying on me and shit, but the next day she acts like nothing happened. i try to let it go but its fucking ridiculous. fucking cunt!! it pisses me off to even think of her stupid cuntery, like im getting over her and then everybody is over at my house and guess who shows up, her, and fucks with my head again.
Edit: oc6 im sure you have been in more relationship than i have, but what you said is not easily done, even in the best of cases.

Re: love to hate
Well, I feel that it's kinda like...
You're in a relationship where the girl says she loves you all the time and you do everything for her. Then she does something shitty to you. Then you decide to hate her for convincing you she loved you and then hurting you. Or something like that?
I just mean... Between two people who supposedly love each other, a bad deed can become an extremely bad deed that leads to hate.
