Exactly, I can do a fair few of these, always a good party trick. That's all they are though, a party trick.

Why's that? How is this exercise different from any other?

Spread your legs out. It makes it easier. And tighten your whole body.
I often include these in my strength workouts.

Re: One handed pushups
I dunno, maybe they are decent, but to me it's all about stabilisation, which doesn't take too long to get, maybe I should try doing more of them... exercises like this are hard for me at the moment, my core and legs are completely fucked.

Re: One handed pushups
They're not that hard once you've learned to balance. Spread your legs and put your other arm behind your back. They'll give your arms more strength and muscle than normal pushups. I can do 4-5 for each arm, and I can only do about 40 regular pushups.

Re: One handed pushups
I put my legs at one and a half shoulder lengths and you put your other hand on the top part of your butt.
I can do about *(gets on the floor to test max)*
Only 5, I almost got the sixth one.

Re: One handed pushups
I can do them. You have to have a pretty strong core, it's mostly core strength, not arm strength.
PRO TIPS:
Keep your legs spread very far apart at first to give you a better base, as you get better you can start bringing them closer together.
Keep your core tight throughout the movement.
