So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
I got the vibe from my current group of friends that I was no longer welcome, that I really never was that welcome, and that I'm an indirect friend to nearly everyone there.
This comes after the admission from my closest friend (K) that I had been doing things that the others in the group had seen as 'creepy.'
That word, above nearly all others, sets of a gigantic red-flag. Nobody means that an action is creepy, because no action in and of itself is creepy. It's the person, every time.
So I started to distance myself from activities, started quieting down, closing myself off more and more, until I could just quietly slip away unnoticed.
Then I got called on it, and had to violently sever it.
I took all the pent-up frustration and anger that I'd felt toward K, and focused it on her insecurities, under the guise of "It's for your own good."
I'm just trying to save my ass from any consequences of people finding me creepy (suspension, expulsion, possible legal factors).
So now I'm going to actively avoid them all (about 2 dozen people) and make a solid attempt at starting over somewhere else.
Somebody talk to me about this, 'cuz I don't wanna go back to school at the moment, just because of all this.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
Don't overreact dude. It sounds like he just wanted to say that some things you do were a little quirky.
If he didn't like you, he wouldn't have told you that as he wouldn't have wanted you to fit in better!
I say start hanging out with your old friends again, don't worry about it. You can change yourself if you want, but make sure you actually want to.
Goodluck man!

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
K is the cockblocking, game-ruining overweight/kinda-off-looking-female-friend-of-the-hot-girl that every guy has nightmares about.
Most of my friends are female, and rather attractive at that. With the "creepy" remark, It's a sure bet that I'd better get my ass outta dodge.
I've just been getting adrenaline boosts every time I think about school tomorrow, mainly because I'm gonna get hollered at by 5 or more people over this.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
It's not like there's been no buildup to this. I've been feeling uncomfortable around certain folks basically since I met them. That incident just confirmed it all for me, and every fiber of me is saying to get out of there and make sure that my ass is safe.
I also know that if I'm seen, I am going to get railed on by everyone within earshot.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
Phayder are you the friend that no one likes?
The kid who makes people say "Fuck, it's fucking Phayder!".
I Had a classmate like that. It took that kid weeks to figure out he was an annoying kunt.
No need to give up the fake friends man, Just adapt and fit in. Sometimes it's better to be fake than alone. Only sometimes though.

When the word creepy comes out, it's best to cut all ties and gtfo. Make new friends and ignore those pussies tomorrow at school.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
I have only one single female friend who i am positive would not wield a knife into my back. I guard all girls who I don't fancy with a certain air of suspicion.
Been there, done that. They didn't outright call me creepy, but they left me slowly and one by one.
Leave them now before they leave you.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
from how you described your group, you hang out with a bunch of attractive, clique-ish girls.....one said you did something that was probably creepy, that spread throughout the group and now instead of you doing something that was creepy, you are just creepy.....its just a phase, get over it....it'll pass as soon as something new happens in the group to distract their attention.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
Nobody's clique-ish, we were the outcast group. Not emo, not goth, not punk, not prep, not nerd, but some strange gel of all of the above.
I have a couple tics about me that just happen as an automatic thing. One example would be I nudge or prod some folks in the side, then catch myself doing it, and stop.
*insert weird looks here*
I think it's based around a "Oh, I just remembered something" then promptly forgetting it, type response.
That was what was mentioned. I've been trying to stop, but apparently it hasn't worked.
Outside of that, I'm kinda tired of K's busybody bullshit, trying to help everyone with relationships even before she got her first goddamn boyfriend (2 weeks, whoo for her)
Now that she's "in a relationship," she'll feel that much more entitled to give out her advice.
In addition to that, she's using this relationship to validate herself through him, so I'll be avoiding that powderkeg of shattered fantasy and hope for a good long while.

There's no way I could do it clean or quiet enough so I could get to a country where they don't extradite.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
Well. First of all, you need some real friends. I mean male friends. You can't be friends with a bunch of girls and only that bunch of girls because, quite literally, they will eventually annoy the fucking shit out of you to the point where you will soon have no friends. It's happened to me on more than one occasion. However, that's not to say that male friends won't piss you off. As a general rule, though, as a guy, male friends will be more reliable and predictable and won't drop you for some stupid ass reason.
So stop thinking about it too much, go to school, hear what they have to bitch at you about, tell them if they don't like you any more then they can just fuck off, and that will be that.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
Don't let it get to you. you govern yourself. Don't let anyone else influence you.
Ultimately all friends leave you. We must come to terms with the inevitability of that fact and become indifferent to it. Your friends have already ditched you, even if they haven't in reality.
don't compromise yourself. Be alone if you have to be, and be strong by doing so. Don't let them control you.
Whenever you doubt that, remember: you are far more perfect than they are by doing this alone and by doing this, YOU ARE MAKING YOURSELF STRONGER THAN THEY ARE.
Fuck the preps, fuck the cliques and the cliquelords, fuck them all. You were just too independent for them.

Re: So I've outwardly cut ties with my friends
I made it through school without getting blasted.
I ignored them all, barely glancing in their direction all day, and it'll eventually get to the point where I can just take the splinter faction that I've cultivated with the small male portion of the group and move on.
