Serious Question. Where to buy an illegal handgun.
This is for education purposes only. I do not imply that I wish, desire, plan or am I soliciting for an illegal weapon. Any replies should be hypothetical.
Now, I would like to know where and how one would go about actually purchasing a handgun, without going through registration or purchasing it from a reputable dealer.
In other words, I want to know how to...
1. Buy an illegal handgun.
2. Find someone/someplace to purchase said gun.
3. Not get shot, killed or arrested.
4. How much said gun should cost.
5. Types of guns to suggest.
The intended purpose of the gun is irrelevant, but we'll say it is for self defense for the purposes of the thread. Another factor to this would be that the person intending to buy a gun does not personally know anyone with or with the information to get a gun.
I hope you can overcome this challenge totse. Again I remind you that this is only for information purposes, and to remember that this is a serious question, and to only post serious replies. (in other words, don't tell me to go find some random black guy)

Bumping, and asking if this would have been better placed in weapons and combat?

Seriously, if you do drugs, ask your dealer. Just tell him you're looking for some "protection" (specifically say that) and that you're paranoid and shit. He'll give you a number if you're like a buddy or a regular customer.

Re: Serious Question. Where to buy an illegal handgun.
You would really have to know someone to buy from a person locally. It's not something that you can just do dry.
That said, if you go to a gun show or similar event and offer 2X the listed price in cash you should be able to walk away with a clean gun.
It will not be the specific gun you are looking at because all of the serial numbers are accounted for.
If you see a gun listed for 500 bucks, say "I would like a similar gun for 1000, cash". Sometimes they will give you shit and tell you to fuck off. Other times they will just package the gun up and accept the money.

Normally a dealer that is only one level away from street will not have a gun or any access to one.
I'm sure you will have stories otherwise, but in general the guy you buy from is just like you with a little more drive and motivation. He's just buying larger amounts and selling off to friends and friends of friends. There is nothing magical or mysterious about being a street level dealer that necessitates carrying a gun around. If fact it's too great of a liability as run ins with the law are common. Getting caught with drugs while carrying a firearm greatly amplifies your future ass rape.

Re: Serious Question. Where to buy an illegal handgun.
What country do you live in? I can help further if you tell me where you are from, some places are harder then others.
Edit:
I also suggest getting a 38 cal snub nose revolver if someone was planning to use this handgun for self-defense. It is small and very easy to keep on body with ought being noticed, good fire power, will NEVER jam on you (Revolvers can't jam), they are much cheaper then lets say a "Glock", they don't leave bullet casings so it is harder for police to trace the gun that shot the bullet (Most assassins use this gun as a handgun of choice), lastly they are not very hard to find on the streets if you no people, it would be harder to find lets say a Berreta then a 38 snub.

Duh, you obviously got an illegal gun shop.
Seriously, it's not like we can tell you where to find a gun around you. You have to ask around, make some connections, and ask around some more. There is no specific person who we can tell you to go to, and even if there was, I sure as hell wouldn't tell you who or where you could find them.

Re: Serious Question. Where to buy an illegal handgun.
Best recourse is to contact your local drug dealer. Even if said dealer doesn't deal in weapons himself, his job by definition puts him in contact with all kinds of shady people you probably won't want to put the time and effort into rooting out yourself. If you're willing to pay him fifty bucks or whatever finder's fee I'm sure he'll do it.
If not, move on to your next drug dealer.
The black market isn't that hard to get ahold of.

Re: Serious Question. Where to buy an illegal handgun.
Alright, Thanks for all the replies. Yes I know you guys can't tell me exactly where to find a gun, I was just hoping I could get a better idea.
Also, I live in the middle of nowhere NY, and not a big city place. I Like what was said about a revolver, I hadn't realized that those features were so admirable.
Anyways, my "dealer" is an 18ish year old black kid that I met once on the street and he hooked me up with an ounce. I don't know if he would know, but I have his number so I can ask.
Thanks for the help so far totse... and keep it up!

Re: Serious Question. Where to buy an illegal handgun.
How reliable are gun shows for finding hand guns to purchase illegally? Is there a certain way to tell if a guy would be more likely to sell a gun to an under age person?
