Sex in a Pool
Hey guys, there is a pool at my house, it's outside, secluded, and my girlfriend and I were talking about having sex, or messing around in it. She says that sex in a pool, makes the condoms more likely to break? Is this true, is the water, or the chlorine breaking down the latex? Would it make polyurethane condoms likely too break too? Would I have to worry about chlorine irritating her vagina? Anything else I should know, or worry about, or find a preemptive solution to?

Re: Sex in a Pool
I don't think the chlorine will give you a problem, but I might be wrong. And if she's on birth control, don't worry about the condom.
You won't know if you don't try.

She's not on the pill, I don't know if I could talk her onto it. We haven't talked about the pill, we just use condoms.

Re: Sex in a Pool
Water will cause a lot of friction and will make the condom break down. you will also need to apply lube frequently.

Watch out for the pools! They transmit the AIDS!
As a fine King i care for my citizens, but be warned that my scientists dont have the cure yet, so enter pools at your own risk.

Re: Sex in a Pool
Thank you everyone for saying she should go on the pill. Thanks to you guys, we talked about it, and I think I might be able to get her to get the shot. Even better then the pill, she doesn't have to take it everyday, and if we do it at Family Planning Clinic, her parent's won't find out, which means it won't result in an uncomfortable times with her parents.
Oh, and thanks for the advice about it causing more friction, and that stuff.

Re: Sex in a Pool
Having sex in a pool can result in water being thrust into the female's vagina, potentially causing mild to severe bacterial infections. So if you're okay with that, and the symptoms, such as irregular bleeding for days and days, go right ahead. Yuck yuck yuck.

Re: Sex in a Pool
My girl wouldn't let me fuck her without a condom when she was on the pill... or when she did, she wouldn't let me cum inside her. Lame. Anyways, sex in a hottub kicks ass like hell.

Re: Sex in a Pool
I've gone at in a few community pools, and honestly...it's not that great. The water washes away her natural juices, so theres no lubrication at all. I guess that would have a negative effect on condoms as well.

I remember hearing this from Sue Johanson herself, so you know it has to be true. Just have sex in the shower.

Re: Sex in a Pool
I would recommend not having sex in a pool if you must use a condom. It's probally a lot more likley to break.
Personally I never really liked the idea of fucking in a pool because i feel like im pumping chlorinated water up into the chick's vagina; and that cant be too good for her reproductive system.

Yep, you lose all lubrication, and it actually sucks. Warm water (like a hot tub or a bath) works pretty well, but the ocean or a pool? Fuggeddabidit.

Re: Sex in a Pool
Sex in a pool only works without the condom, true it does wash away her lubrication, but just toy with her alot, keep turning her on with kisses on the neck and light touches over her body, shouldnt be too hard to maintain lubrication long enough to be satisfactory for both of you. And as somebody else said, try for the hot tub, way cooler. Oh! If you have a sauna, do it in there too, it's awesome.

I would just like to point out that the shot may seem great and all but it can cause lots of future damage to her. like the the chance of not being able to have kids for up to three years. the chances of blood clots and so on..... but of course its all up to you... and if you go to a family clinic you could still get her the pill there.

Re: Sex in a Pool
i heard chlorine is a spermacide(sp?) even in low concentrations, but its not like she"ll be flushing her vagina with pool water though. i suggest you make the sacrafice and get thicker condoms.

My friend said the hot tub sex sucks because the water is the same temperature as the pussy and he doesn't really feel all that much pleasure.
But that's the only place he can really fuck his girl.. I dunno why.

Re: Sex in a Pool
I just googled for about 3 seconds and found you this:
"Shower, hot tub, lake, pool, bath all are great options for spicing up your sex life! The important thing to keep in mind is that STIs (sexually transmitted infections) and HIV can still be transmitted while having sex in the water. Condoms are not tested for durability against the hot, wet chemicals found in pools and hot tubs. It is quite possible that condoms would deteriorate when placed in chlorine or heated water. In addition, oil-based products such as sunscreen, soaps, and shampoos could also cause condoms to break down. Other problems with wet and wild sex are that spermicide will most likely wash away in the water and water may also be able to seep between the condom and the penis causing the condom to slip off. As with all sexual encounters, it is recommended that you and your partner are tested for sexually transmitted infections before you become sexually intimate.
If you are still planning on having sex in water, its better to use some form of protection rather than none at all. The condom needs to be put on before getting into the water and you may want to look into using a silicone-based lubricant. Natural lubricants tend to get washed away while having sex in the water and this causes an increased amount of friction resulting in condom breakage.
Be safe in all of your splish-splash adventures!

Re: Sex in a Pool
We've always found sex in a pool is more about being naked with other people around, and being able to touch the other person where you wouldn't normally be able to.
Some things to consider when having sex in a pool/ hottub/ saltwater:
* Saltwater can really chafe you both, more so than chlorine, which in turn is worse than fresh water.
* Sex is better if you "slowly slide it in and cuddle/ kiss", rather than going at it hammer and tongs in water. Generally.
* The edge of the pool, or a floating mattress thingy, is generally a good height for the lady to lie back on, and chlorine/ salt water can make a pussy taste very nice.....
* Sex in a public pool is generally one of those things you like to say you have done once, but don't tend to keep doing it.
* Ladies tend to loosen up a fair bit (I mean mood wise, not what your thinking) in a hot tub with candles and stuff all around. Don't know why - and I don't care. I just know it works. And I have an 8 person spa being installed in the next few weeks.
* I guess it would be easier for fatties to have sex in water. Not saying anything about the OP - I'm just guessing it would be easier for fatties. I think hippo's mate in the water, don't they?
I guess having said all that, if you are both in the right mood, you can fuck anywhere you want and love it.

Re: Sex in a Pool
Thanks for all your advice. I think we are going to try it. I'm gonna try to get her on birth control, so if the condom does break, if we even use one. Yes I had heard about it wearing down latex, but polyurethane is supposed to be stronger, gonna find out if it wears them down too. Sadly I don't have a sauna or hot tub, or else those would be on my list. Oh, and no, I'm not fat. Thanks for the link myscars, i had found that article, but not read all the way through it. Oh, and this is a private pool, so I'm not too worried about a lot of those things people said about public pools. I will be careful though.
Thanks too everyone who has contributed info, and stories.

Re: Sex in a Pool
Uh, if I remember my high school sex ed class correctly, you can't get your girlfriend pregnant by having sex in a pool.
If she really insists that you use protection, try saran wrap or sandwich bags.

Re: Sex in a Pool
chlorine does break down latex and so does heat
when i was a lad my friends and i used to boil condoms for a few minuets and that made them stretchy enough to stretch over telephone boxes (tried and tested)
if you worried about about the latex breaking down and you and your partner don't have any STDs you might want to try lambskin condoms
lambskin condoms give a better sensation too
