Disillusionment, ensuring loyalty, brothers to the end
Firstly I make this post in this forum as i cant think of any other forum which is suitable, and given that the average poster here in S&A especially jacktech give great and pertinent information I write this in the hope that people can help.
I am disillusioned. With my peers, and with my chosen career (i am to be a prosecutor). Uncertain as to who to trust, sick and tired of the dirty dealing, corruption and unholy alliances, as well as the unremiting violence and villiany that plagues my city I want to make a real difference.
I know my plan sounds a little melodramatic and I certainly dont intend that. But here goes...
I want to establish a society, a order, a brotherhood whatever the fuck you want to call it, where I can ensure loyalty and commitment to the cause above all else. Just how do i go in getting credibility whilst at the same time ensuring some level of annonymity, and actually attract like minded indivudals? How do I ensure, if I do indeed try and get members to join, that I can ensure there loyalty?

Yeah! Another brother to the cause. the world isn't peaches and cream! And seriously, you can't really shit rainbows!
Disillusionment is someting everyone faces. The world is inherntly corrupt. just deal with it.
Also, the Masons are a pretty stright group. But you have to be inducted by a mason to become a mason.

thats actually in the works, gonna be inducted next Jan. :)
I just hate bullies, always have since I was a kid, and I fought back. And then I fthught, why not all the time? I know the world isnt all rainbows and sunshine, i have had to face its darker aspects..and thats why I want to make a difference. I am not talking about pompous meaningless political speeches, I want to take action/.
And yes, if that means street justice then yeah so be it.

Re: Disillusionment, ensuring loyalty, brothers to the end
I can't think of a better way to spawn more evil upon this sorry arsed world of ours than what you have suggested. As soon as 'right thinking' 'like minded' men of 'good character' get together in secret because 'something must be done' then you're on that train track that ends at those wrought iron gates with "ARBEIT MACHT FREI" above them.

Re: Disillusionment, ensuring loyalty, brothers to the end
Ive been to Auswitch and lost relatives to the nazis. I am not proposing a utopian society, I am not wanting my brethern to meet in secret, I only ask for people to move as a collective against the obvious evils of the world.
I want to particularly work against sex offenders and drug dealers, but I must stress I dont intend for it to be secretive, like the Masons or the Mafia though that same level of loyalty would be nice. :)
BTW in response to jacktech, surely a benign "dictator" is better than a capricious one? :o
PS jackketch have you ever rad a comic by ALan Moore called the Watchmen?

Have you ever heard of the group "Friends Stand United"?
Its a group sorta like what you have described, a group of hardcore fans who have bonded together and well... stand united. It means alot of violence and they usually are the ones starting fights, but its spread into alot of the major US cities.
Find the movie "Boston Beatdown" for some info on it.

I dont live in the USA< I live here in the UK :(
Will look that film up thanks for the heads up :)
One point though, I dont want my members getting out of control, and running amok, I want to try and keep some semblance of order over them, this is not intended as a terrorist organsation or a mafia, but a vigilante group with (Some) brains.

I take offense to the fact that you group drug dealers in with sex offenders.
I don't want to start an off-topic debate but just please think about it. If that is their only crime then all they have done is simply sell a chemical or even just a natural plant that society has deemed as evil just because it's use wasn't popular at the time this shit was decided. Drug prohibition is no different than alcohol prohibition, and has the same results, didn't we learn the first time around? And drug dealers(if that's their only crime) are no worse than those who sell cigarettes or alcohol which is the owner and employees of all those gas stations that are on every corner(and actually alcohol is far worse than most if not all drugs). If it's not their only crime than bust them on the real crime they commit.
Also wanting to start an organization like this that doesn't have a problem with "street justice" makes you no better than the murderers, sex offenders(well ok you might be a little better than real rapists), or drug dealers(actually you are worse than a drug dealer unless the drug dealer is a murderer too). You are going to become the very criminals you are trying to "prosecute." Jackketch is right, this path you have chosen leads to a very evil place.
But your in the UK and not my country so I don't give a shit. That country's going to shit in other ways anyway(no offense jack, I think you probably agree). Just stay the fuck out of my life and my country.

Re: Disillusionment, ensuring loyalty, brothers to the end
You know something I dont mind drugs to a certain extent, actually I think we should legalise, regulate and better control the drugs. Whatever takes the power away from the crooks. The thing I despise most of all about the drug dealers etc, are th chaos they cause and the unforeseen consequences they bring. So I suppos you are right, it is a tad unfair bringing the sex offenders and drug dealers into the same camp.
What I want, is a more effective and effecient system. If giving therapy to sex offenders will help them not to reoffend, then great I will support it. But if chemical castration also works then I am gonna work for the one that works the best. Im not hugely religious but spiritual enough to tell the difference between right and wrong.
I just want things to be better, and most of all to combat the corruption that plagues the city. When I say street justice I am not talking of lynching and street mobs, but, well cutting through some of the bureaucracy.
A appreciate that in the States that the Constituion and the Bill of Rights are a sacred tome almost, and rightly so. But how many American Citizens have their rights violated without any comeback? Tricked or extorted into waiving those rights? By the very people who claim to uphold them?
BTW I am in great admiration of America and its value :).
The bottom line is, I want to make the world better, and I want to make a difference. Now, who the fuck can help this misuguided fool ;)

Re: Disillusionment, ensuring loyalty, brothers to the end
So how exactly do you get the idea that you'll be right? You might be convinced that a guy is a rapist, fail to convict him and proceed to gun him down when he's heading home from the grocery store just to find out it really wasn't him. Always remember that your very being is defined by it's surroundings and that you are very easily swayed by people inclined to do that. You'll find no satisfaction in the search for truth and justice

I will know I am right bu careful examination of the facts of the case, here where i luve prosecutors work with cops, so I will have the inside scoop as to suspects etc.
BTW I am not advocating assassiniation, or murder, but to effectively ensure that our members act in accordance with the organs of justice and dont fall foul to corruption.
Regardless, nice to dream no?

Re: Disillusionment, ensuring loyalty, brothers to the end
I think the way you worded the original post was pretty darned annoying.. that being said I do find it admirable to step up and take a stab at what you want changed.. on the other hand you would have a lot of enemies here. I happen to like many drugs, and there are apparently at least a few drug dealers here at totse. When formulating a vision for the world you must make sure that you do not displace well meaning citizens that have made different lifestyle choices. You may not be trying to be tyrannous, but you are, and Tyranny needs to meet its end in society. On the other hand it would seem we are doomed without a sense of fear and respect, but that should be from a sense of upholding a logical, livable level of morality.. As far as the drug problem; I think the inner city youth and also most all in general need to be educated in recreational drugs.. If you speak of a group that would have sufficient power, and would try to open-endedly solve citizens problems while weeding out the destroyers, (and not framed by any particular issue such as drug use) then you would have my support.. every case would need to be viewed with distinction for justice to be served, as hard as that would be..
ALSO, I really do not favor your execution through our judicial system. It is riddled with too much incompetence and immorality to function properly. A hope would be becoming a part of the legislative branch and infiltrating to a decent position.. We all need a working sense that we are able to live, and many of us are deprived of that. This needs to change.

I agree with you to a large extent.
A loyal collection of people can do a lot. A public collection of loyal people can do more.
I disagree with chasing down drug dealers though, as my highest belief is in freedom and men should have the freedom of choice to put whatever the fuck they want in their bodies. A junkie will be strung out on something, no matter what it is, and it's their right to choose their poison.
For crimes of violence or theft though, I believe we need to chase down people much harder.

Re: Disillusionment, ensuring loyalty, brothers to the end
Ok guys just a few points.
1) I actually dont mind drugs, I do realise that there are those who do use it recreationally, but it is poorer people who dont have the money to afford quality equipment and rehab facilities who become majorly addicted and have to resort to crime to feed their habit. That majorly pisses me off big time, because we are punishing people for becoming enslaved in every possible way, financially, emotionally, physically.
Hence I want to remove the illictness of drugs and the stigma attached to them and seek to regulate them. With the money saved in not having to fund law enforcement agencies to track down drug barons and traffickers this can go towards better management schemes to help rehab etc.
So long as a citizens drug use does not impact unfairly on the rest of society, I have no problem with it. That sound fair?
2) In regards to daedric who says about not restricitng our "work" to within the judiciary, I am in a dilemma. Cicero described nations and government as:
"Robber states enlarged."
and i tend to agree. I want to do good rather than simply replace one evil with another, I must admit i am suprised and very pleased with the quality of posts and responses, i thought I was gonna get flamed to the Stone Age lol ;)

Re: Disillusionment, ensuring loyalty, brothers to the end
I think everyone starts to feel disillusioned with the world at some point in their lives when they realise that the world will probably always be corrupt (or perhaps i'm just cynical), and I think that it's probably a realization that hits people such as Prosecutors particularly hard, as their careers/lives revolve around...well...prosecuting.
Sounds like you're aiming for a Waffen-SS type organization there.
