DIY Taser Blowgun
I had an idea for a taser dart. Basically get a high powered capacitor from a disposable camera, put needles up front where the leads are, and put fins on the back. Just touching a charged capacitor hurts like hell. Imagine if barbs from one pierced the skin. Actually, I am going to adapt this instead for use with weak air guns, like potato guns.

Re: DIY Taser Blowgun
That would be fun as hell, and it really wouldn't be that hard to do. Go for it, just try not to zap yourself in the process.

Re: DIY Taser Blowgun
This could be an interesting concept.
Keep us informed, with pics if possible.

Re: DIY Taser Blowgun
Instead of butchering alot of disposable cameras, where could I get capacitors at wholesale?
http://tinyurl.com/2l7nfw http://tinyurl.com/39m9af Thats the charging station I made for capacitors. It is a Chic Fila ranch container with the disposable camera circuitry condensed in it. There are even two recharge ports on the side for the capacitors. The charging button is an eraser from a mechanical pencil.

Re: DIY Taser Blowgun
You could try looking into electronic component suppliers.
I cannot think of any right now but you can also check to see if you have any electronics surplus stores near your area.

Actually, I have done this.
Well, I got the idea and my friend shot me with it......
bitch.
It works good, just spray-paint it bright so you don't loose it.

Two recharge ports?
Could you take higher quality pics and show some instructions?

That his the best that I have. Its from my camera phone. If you look at the circuitry from a disposable camera it is actually quite small. I got rid of the flash bulb and the copper guides for the battery, and disconnected the capacitor from the board. I soldered wires into the boards spot for the capacitor. I made sure to remember the polarity, I didn't want a capacitor popping on me. Most of the parts came from a mechanical pencil. The ports are the black plastic tube w/ copper wire coiled inside. The battery connection is made with the spring from the pencil. The eraser is sitting on top of the copper "spring" that charges the capacitor. I pierced the eraser and ran a piece of wire through it to keep it from popping out of the front. Using the black tube from the pencil, I used them as spacers to raise the board off of the bottom, where the button would be functional. I wired it up and taped it up. Now i just put the capacitor leads in the two black ports and push the charge button until the red LED glows. I was just in the zone that day.
