All you need to know about love and the opposite sex.
Alright, since everyone else is coming up with their rules of relationships and engagements; since we've been getting no guide from 'Ketch; lastly, since some people need this I will write a guide to love and women. I know I'm not the best person to run to considering I'm mostly a deviant, it's not about that. It's all about the confidence that you may get from this. So, I'm going to go ahead and get started.
Concerning love:
Love is completely abstract
Love is only mutual (meaning love does not exist between one unknowing party)
Love becomes unconditional over time.
There's a LOT more to it. I wouldn't be able to explain it all the way if I had several books.
Concerning women
Women are biologically more emotional
Women are reliant on ascibed status
Women like confidence when younger, not kindness
The above basically means that women typically use men to get into certain positions of power. Now this isn't true all of the time, but most of the time.
Concerning men
Men like to feel like men
Men are physical, not emotional
Men are naturally agressive. Society looks down on this so we submit to authority and women.
Due to modern times, we have developed a sense of security and hyper-agressive males are generally psychopaths. That is not attractive to women and typially contradicts our goals. This is how men formulate that whole "nice guy" apparition.
Guide towards girls for guys:
Although there is no template for me to go ahead and throw out there I'll try to explain this to you. Looking for women is similiar to looking for a job without all the formalities. Look her in the eyes and don't slouch when approaching. Don't be a bitch. Off the bat you have to let her know what you want in the first week, otherwise you will get filed away in the "Just Friends folder." She probably wont even want you as a friend. Show your intentions and be a man.
^^^ That is all you need to know.
Concerning grooming:
Not as important as the above. You can be a greasy, ugly slob and still get the girl over the attractive band member, however you'd really need to shine. Women do like men to be in shape, but not bulky like ah-nold. Take care of yourself and don't let your teeth fall out. Make sure to de-otorize.
I guess, in conclusion, it's all about being completely confident. Let yourself go when you approach women. If not, you could have a lot of problems. No book could ever explain that.

IMO, confidence is what everyone needs to attract someone.

Re: All you need to know about love and the opposite sex.
Love is when you find a compatible biological partner. It is an intense infatuation that pushes towards sex, it is your brain guiding you to do what humankind does best; expand!
Most relationships lose their 'flare' and die out at about 8-12 months. Just enough time for a child to be concieved and born.
Humans are driven to seek other partners for sexual encounters even while in the love phase.
This is probably to ensure the strongest genes are passed on to new generations while maintaining the security of the family unit.
What does it mean for you? You will love someone intensely for a while, but that feeling will pass. You may be tempted to cheat while you're with them, as will they. The feeling WILL fade. Successful long term relationships rely on companionship and friendship, ship.
Have fun.

Re: All you need to know about love and the opposite sex.
^^^
Yeah, you're right. Passionate love lasts approximately 12-18 months. The rush is similiar to amphetamines. It passes, eventually. After about five years a new feeling washes over, similiar in chemical structure to sedatives.
I know neurobiology, too. The idea is: that once you learn to love someone you have unconditional positive regard. Love is more than a feeling, it's an abundance of emotions and memories that keep you together.
