phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
Ok, First up... Yes - I should go to the doctor. But I have already been told by people in the medical profession that they will just say "Do some stretches" and maybe prescribe some cream to help compliment the stretches. Now if I know the outcome of a doctors appointment, its a lot easier to spare the embarassment, No?
The problem...
My foreskin is really tight.. Or is it? I can pull it away and it is actually REALLY flexible - as it should be. BUT... the Preputial Ring is extremely tight. So I can't retract it..
I've heard regular stretches + warm soaks can help cure this. But I can't find anything on the net about which excercises todo and which are the most effective.
Also, it says steroid cream is often used - is this available OTC without prescription?
I would just "grin and bare" it, but lets face it - I'm losing out on the best part of my body.. :P Seriously though, It means I lose a lot of sensation and also makes me worry about hygiene and makes hand-jobs and head pointless. On top of this, Its started to feel like its restraining my cock - which is starting to go from uncomfortable to bordering on painful!

Weaker steroid creams rarely cause side effects, and doctors are so confident about their use that they can even be bought over the counter without a prescription.
But the stronger the cream, the greater the risk of problems. This risk increases the longer the cream is used. For this reason high-strength steroid creams can only be used on prescription.
Better then nothing...

Yeah.. Ok, Whatever... Just STFU and keep that shit out of my thread. You want a "Circumcised vs Natural" flame? Then start another thread, I want this thread to remain on topic for once.

*edit : this thread is so NOT becoming a real men v. mutilated debate. And as totse keeps crashing on me everytime I do something I'll probably not even bother editing any further offending posts but simply just delete them.

Re: phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
It's almost always unnecessary for a circumcision to be performed in the case of phimosis, so you don't need to be concerned about that. Stretching should certainly do the trick. I used to be unable to retract my foreskin, but with stretching over a period of a few weeks I was able to get it completely sorted.
But yes, I just think warm water and gentle stretching is all that's necessary. I'm not sure about particular 'techniques' just go as far as you're able to without causing pain and hold it for a while. Repeat daily for a few weeks, and you're sorted.
As for steroids, you can get mild hydrocortisone preparations over the counter, so applying a little of that might be useful.
Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot! =] It's nice to know that someone has had a similar experience and beat it through stretching.

Re: phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
I see so many threads about this. And it's all complete and utter bullshit.
This isnt something you need to see a doctor about.
The first time my foreskin retracted, I was 21 years old. (Which was when I started having sex.)
Countless masturbation sessions as a teen, and it never retracted. Theres no need. It doesnt serve a purpose. It's just a little more sensitive when the foreskin is retracted.
When you start having sex, and you have her natural juices as lubricant, then it'll EASILY slide back on its own without any funky modern new age medicine bullshit. Just dont worry about it, it'll happen when it happens.

Re: phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
because of all the bullshit involved with people being so ashamed of sex and whatnot, i didn't even know it was supposed to retract for the better part of my life.
i have totse to thank for my salvation.
just pull back and hold at the point that it feels like its sort of stretching but not overly painful. it only takes a week or two, you will be able to go further back and eventually retract fully.
lets just say not ever pulling it back led to a several year buildup of all that dead crap and it had hardened into a solid crust...shit was painful. sorry for that disturbing image.

Re: phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
I never knew it was supposed to retract either. When it would come close, I would get scared that it would break, and I wouldnt be able to get it to un-retract.

Are you really that retarded that you couldn't see the first few posts, Specifically the bit regarding off-topic posts and other spam?

Re: phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
The stretches work, you might have to bite your lip and take some pain. but do it regular and the pain will go.
I speak from experience.

Re: phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
Stretches and creams didn't work for my kid . He finally got circ'd at age 16. We tried to get him circ'd when he was younger because he's always had this problem but european doctors tend to view circumcision on minors to be child abuse unless necrosis has set in, I think.

Re: phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
I have teh same problem.
I'm 18 and i have never been able to pull back my foreskin while hard.. EVER.
While limp, it was just uncomfortable..
After last night (like an hour+ of making out etc..)
I was able to pull it back limp but i didn't really experiment.. because my balls hurt so bad.
Anyway, i'm sure she won't care.

Re: phimosis: Foreskin stretching techniques
As you're having a shower, just grip teh penor at the end of the base and stretch it, but not so it hurts, for the whole shower period. Within a few weeks of doing that, my foreskin was able to be retracted over the head. Took a while once you got erect and foreskin was pulled back, that took another 2 weeks or so.
