Exclamation Things that do not belong here:

-Question threads-
Threads that do not provide any kind of link. If you did not find anything on the web, then your thread really doesn't belong in 'I Found It On The Web'. Theres always either Google or the vB search function.
E: Now we have the sub-forum! Please direct all your question threads to there!

-Linkless Threads-
If you've not found anything on the web, it doesn't belong in I Found It On The Web.

-Referral links-
Win a free iPod/PSP/PS3/car/house/toothbrush? Yeah, shove it. Same goes for linking games such as Outwar, or whatever else.

-Pornography-
Yeah, yeah, tons every day. Unless its something thats 'way out there', then it goes in The Porn Thread. Hot chick gallery? Girl shaking her butt? Hentai 3D games? Porn thread. Girl + car battery + public park + video camera? Yeah, something like that would get a thread of its own. You get the idea. If any of what is posted is underage porn, the thread will be purged and you will be immediately banned forever.

-Links to the following-
Other threads on totse, totse itself, google, tubgirl, or a site where something pops up and screams at you, advertised as "nice little cute kittens".

-Threads with misleading or no description of link-
Yeah. Self explanatory. I'll just assume its a virus/trojan/spyware, misleading link or whatever and it'll be as good as deleted.
Descriptions such as the following are not allowed:
"wow, look at this!"
"This is so awesome!"
"Holy crap!!"
"Must see!"
"This is wierd"
etc

-Threads about other public websites with implied intent to spam or harass.
Muslimspace, LOTRForum, Rotteneggs, Bill Keller, yeah yeah. We've been through that and its not going to happen. You will get an infraction for this.

-With the sub-forum, remember that these regulations apply there as well.

Default Re: Things that do not belong here:

Another few things that do not belong here

--Any means of distributing or linking to distributors of pirated material. Distributors of pirated material include, but are not limited to, websites, FTP servers, IRC servers or rooms, Usenet etc, torrents or torrent search engines, Rapidshare/Yousendit etc engines and streaming movie links with obvious copywrited material.

-Warez sites and serial sites are also banned. This is partly to protect users, as many of us will know that alot of the warez offered indeed contain trojans.

And somethings that are allowed in IFIOTW

-Direct legal torrent links and links to legal torrent download pages. This is encouraged by all mods, as torrents are a time-proven method of effectively distributing media, but obviously copywrite infringement must not occur. We can't allow the multi billion dollar, money grabbing media companies go hungry, now can we?

-Talk surrounding legal torrent programs, that being all of them, is allowed. This is also encouraged, however no illegal torrents or talk of illegal activity will occur in these threads. Threads such as 'Which is better, uTorrent or Azureuz?' are completely allowed, but try to contain talk of torrents and programs within a few threads or so.

Also, every streaming video link posted must contain the words "Video-" As a prefix to the title. Please keep this neat and tidy, some machines cant handle videos. Also please try to mention if that particular video is "Safe for Work" as they say.

This thread will continue to be opened and edited when needed, such as I have done. The way in which we moderate IFIOTW might change, so keep checking back here every now and again.

If you have any feedback, complaints, issues or just questions just email any of us at the supplied emails or get in touch with us through the IRC room, at Slashnet.
