Lately after a night of drinking I have been having testicular pain as well as lower back/mid upper abdomen pain.

What the eff is up with that?

Its scarring me, i only drink one time a week at most and its usually no more than ten beers and/or no more than four shots of liquor.

My friends have always prided me in being able to drink a lot without getting sick, i still don't get sick when i drink as far as puking goes. Two days ago i drank about 6 beers and four shots of vodka at my best friends party and the night ended with me in the bathroom feeling horribly nautious but unable to puke... my friends are worried because this is out of my character

That was saturday night, its now monday and i am having light testicular pain, just enough to be uncomfortable and pain in the upper abdomen

the testicular pain only occurs if they're irritated or move around, i'm fine if i'm just sitting

the abdomen pain increases if i push on the chest or take deep breaths. i almost feel myself taking shorter breaths to adapt to the pain

I figured the testicular pain/lower back pain is related through the renal system (aka kidney filtration) which would be effected through drinking alcohol although i'm not sure its supposed to hurt like this. As far as the upper abdomen pain i have no clue.

anybody know whats wrong with me?

i havn't been drinking for more than a year or so.... and not more than the average high schooler.

I was under the impression that the liver takes a lot more alcohol abuse to become damaged.

I'd rather not burden my parents financially with a trip to the doctor if i can possible diagnose myself. The internet has a wealth of knowledge i'm just having trouble finding the right stuff... which is why i'm asking for y'alls help.

I've looked through the symptoms for different types of liver failure and kideny failure, kidney stones, all sorts of things and nothign seems to sound right... i found this though:

http://tinyurl.com/26rtyj

He seems to share some common symptoms but his MD response wasn't that insightful

Quit drinking, problem solved. It's a huge waste of time and money and it lowers your testosterone and athletic performance.

i am not drinking as of now... i just wanted to find out if theres some problem in my body that needs to be fixed. just because it occurs after alcohol consumption doesn't mean that not drinking will make it completely go away you know?

i just want to be safe

its now tuesday and i'm still feeling the testicular pain and abdominal pain. its been three full days now. i think i might schedule a doctor apptmnt tomorrow

i'm going to try drinking mass amounts of water to flush out my renal system and hopefully alleviate the testicular pain. the abdominal pain is still a mystery to me.

Go to a doctor or hope the guy in the self surgery thread can help you.

Maybe he knows how to do those black market urban legend organ transplants, where someone wakes up in a bathtub of ice and stitches....

Go to a doctor. A free clinic if you can't afford a normal doctor.

It is interesting to note that alcohol suppresses testosterone and you are having testicle pain. I doubt its related in this case but it is odd.

Sounds like pancreacitus (sp?)

Easily caused by the amount you have consumed, most common in men. My father in-law just had to have keyhole surgery due to it, get checked as soon as possible man.

Do you seriously think that? Not trying to sound hard, but that seems like a reasonable night out to me if I don't want to get too drunk.

Maybe I just drink too much.

Well, for people who aren't in the part realm, i suppose that seems like a lot of liquor.... Which i guess, in a medical standpoint, it is. In fact, i believe over five bears is considered binge drinking.

Anyways i WENT TO THE DOCTOR!!!

Ok, so heres the results:

The upper abdomen pain he said could be a form of indigestion caused be the amount of alcohol i drink. (I was very frank with him).

As far as the lower abdomen/testicular pain, he was clueless. He checked for hernias and found nothing but insisted i return in a few days if the pain continues.

He also took a urine sample and said it came out fine, although i'm not sure what all he checked for in the sample.

Basically, he told me i was the "mystery patient of the day".

I dont think it might be a liver failure, he's been drinking too little. Especially ocnsidering that american beers are canned in 330 ml cans, not the more east european of 500ml. And consider this: mixing alcohols has devastating effects, or does on some people. Many people cannot mix wine and vodka, other cant mix vodka and beer. I cant mix vodka, beer and weed, it kills the shit out of me. But like yesterday, started drinking at around 8pm, had a few beers and then it was vodka up until around 11 or 12pm, by 2 am I was pretty ok, by 3-4 I was totally sound, but really exhausted. But I didnt even take a sip of cheap wine (1 liter for about 1 USD), I was just too scared of it (although Id really like it mixed with some kind of cola, its great then). Ah, enoughs enough, better go to a doctor just in case because yours might be a special condition, one in a thousand where you might be intolerant of alcohol or something like that.

edit: curse my poor concentration skills of today, as for indigestion, might be you drink on an empty stomache, althought that shouldnt really be a problem, might be your stomache is a bit 'weak' and alcohol really causes youre indigestion, never had any such problems. Damnit, mr. mystery patient.

Even if he doesn't drink enough it still could be a liver problem.

Even if i didnt think it was from drinking, if you are still in pain after 3 days go to the doctors.

testicle pain ... alcohol use
alcohol use .... testicle pain

how many times have I heard those two concepts in combination?

Nearly everyday, thank you.

well, that is, if you get your nuts kicked in a barfight.
Otherwise ... I have to guess there is a zero connection.
Now, say you have ball cancer, and drink too much alcohol, well, that does make sense.

Alcohol hinders memory, memory would aid in remembering if you wore a condom or not while fucking that slimy hooker you picked up after leaving the bar. Congratulations on acquiring your new STD!

uhhhhh, well the pain is almost completely gone on day five. I'll drink a small amount in a week ago to see if it is deffinitely related. If the pain returns i guess i'll just have to give up alcohol... no problem. It will be missed though.

And yeah alcoholism runs in my family but i don't seem to have a problem with it. I can pass it up without a problem.

Sounds like you have a case of binge drinking..

Either drink reasonably when you do drink, or just drink the same amount on a regular basis.

Anyway.. I get pains in my abs if I've been working out and then attempt to down something.

Do you eat a lot of bread ? ,

My stepfather has similar problems, He cannot drink beer or eat too much bread otherwise he gets similar syptoms.

Everyone has different allergies and tolerances to things. The best thing to drink is red wine if you like drinking but cant do spirits or beer. It oxidises the blood or some bollocks like that.
