Hello everbody, I'm not sure where you all live, but I'm currently living in the UK and I'm quite mad at the outrageous prices of mangas.

Just yesterday I went to a Manga shop near Covent Garden to buy the printed version of Welcome to NHK(by the way if you haven't yet download the anime you won't regret it), and it was £6.50 per volume(that's about 13 dollars for Americans).

Are Mangas so expensive even in the US/Canada or it's just over here in England?

At the Books-a-Million here, mangas are about $10 per volume. Still too much for me.

Depends on the book usually. But back in the day they ran the gamut between $20-25 until Tokyopop started selling their mangas at $10 and under, which started a trend of lowered prices.

Each little book is worth that much. When you're dealing with a manga like Inuyasha or Berserk, your monies starts disappearing rapidly.

Well yes, usually series can have several volumes and if you're following the story you have to buy them all and some series can be pretty long.

The "One Piece" manga books alternate between £4.99 and £5.99 for each volume.

I think manga is quite expensive but hey it is a little pice of artwork and you can read it again and again.
