It seems my ex is sending people after me...
Yesterday, after work, I was attacked in the parking lot. Some dude came out from behind a truck, hit me in the knee with a bat, knocking my on my ass.
The damage. (http://i10.tinypic.com/2jg3t5g.jpg)
After he hits me, he says "That's for Katey."
I ask her about this today, and she says she knows nothing of it, and it's all a coincidence. I don't believe her. What do I do? If I go to the cops, then I can't retaliate.

That's fucked up.
Was the breaking up bad?
What did you do to her...?
and what was the reason why she/you broke you/her up?

Bad for me, not bad for her. She said a few days after that she was completely over me.
I used methadone. That's why she left. I did nothing else to her. That's why she left me. And now this.

Did you get his license plate number? Description of the truck? Description of the guy? Any witnesses?

It wasn't his truck, he was on foot. No witnesses. I don't have a very good physical description of him; it happened really quick, without much time for me to get specifics.

I mean, I never really liked her much, but I didn't think of her as the type of person to send someone after you.

Re: It seems my ex is sending people after me...
uh, go to the cops.
i had a run in with a local family of ne'er do wells and their pals when i was a kid. theyd come at me like 6 on one and shit. never thumped on me, because they knew i had access to a .357 and didnt want to go all the way and kill me.
so my mom started calling the cops.
then one day, a motherfucker who had called my mom some names in front of me was missing his pack of cocksuckers.... so i jumped out and beat this doods fucking ass. i kicked him till he shit his rompers.
the cops came to arrest me, and mom spoke up about the reports. he checked it out, took the cuffs off, and said it sounded like street justice to him.
if used correctly, and precautions taken, a police report can be used offensivly.
BTW, he assaulted you with a deadly weapon. he hit your knee because its not an area the law recognizes as having lethal potentiality in and of itself.
oh yea, and your ex is up to her nose in this shit.

Re: It seems my ex is sending people after me...
Something almost happened like that to me. My ex lives two floors down in the dorm. I took the steps and crossed the lobby as the elevator opened with them in it. I didn't make eye contact or look at them directly. I saw them in the reflection of the window. I continued to walk toward subway, her new boy toy seemed to be following me, but the light at the corner was slow and I didn't want to get cornered. I kept walking up the street. When I came over the hill and around the corner I walked down to a creepy dark alley between two buildings and waited Matt Damon style from the departed. I think I got too far ahead because he didn't follow.

Post every thing you know about them on here.
There house will be burned to the ground by morning.
A back up plan if you don't like that one, call the police, make a report, and just watch your back.
If they just gave you a good smash and took off, they aren't looking to seriously fuck you up.
If you can handle yourself normally, then fight back, and pin him to the ground and ask him why the fuck he is doing this.

Yeah, I hope you're armed now. And if someone tries that shit again, shoot to kill. One hit to the face with a bat can split your skull and kill you - easily justifiable as a self-defense kill in court. I'd sure as fuck feel threatened for my life.
This is why you have your head on a swivel at all times. I constantly look around like a paranoid fuck to make sure I'm not being trailed.
I know to those not trained it sounds difficult to do constantly, or that it's no way to live, but in 90% of cases, you should have seen the dude coming. Him jumping out from behind a truck probably constitutes the other 10%, but he'd get nailed in court HARD if busted. Parking lots are notorious for getting mugged/raped/killed.

Wow, this seriously pisses me off. Get some one to put a bottle in her pussy then smash it. It's only fair. You're a fireman, you need your knees to provide for your self, and to live. She hardly needs her pussy.

Re: It seems my ex is sending people after me...
Though, I don't know? Neither does anyone else in this thread...
It's like all the BS people spout about the Middle East. They get a bit of twisted info from the Media & suddenly they think, "Hey! I know what's going on there!"
But if you ask them any questions about the situation? They either won't reply or they talk stupidly & belligerantly. They show no depth of any understanding.
Like I say. It might be mistaken identity. It might be some dink that she doesn't know about, acting on his own.
On the other hand. Do you recall any mention of totse folks in your area? Any she's had contact with? You know there are many lurkers. There are nuts in everyone's area who don't post but do know stuff about those who do...

Put a knife to her throat and scream, "WHO WAS IT! WHO THE FUCK WAS IT!". Well really you should go on her mypsace and look through her friends until you get some suspects. I'm Just assuming she has mypsace but you could do research other ways. If you got the police involved surely they wouldnt believe her if she said she knew nothing of it. Are you sure it was a dude? Any details are good.

Jesus fucking Christ..well my ex just gets people to scowl and look at me in a funny way
..kinda stopped now, but maybe the bloke who attacked you is secretly in love with her lol
now, I would see it the following ways -
1) You threaten her, build up your own army and then TP her house and post shit through her letterbox etc (america, i dunno what you do)
2) Take legal action against the motherfucker who hit you if you can recall what he looks like etc, then sue her ass off for kinda making him act like a hitman
3) Hire a hitman to get her
4) Ambush her with a paintball gun then take a pic and post it on here
5) erm, i'm running outta ideas..

That girl needs a fucking dose of reality. She (like most girls) seem to not understand that if you tell a guy that you wish someone would kill your ex, that the someone you told will not sit him down and firmly tell him that he has hurt the girl and he should apologize. Most girls have never been jumped and kicked in the face so they don't think it will happen.

Re: It seems my ex is sending people after me...
What I would do...
I'd tell her that whether or not she knows the person who assaulted you, she'd better think long and hard about who it might have been. She needs to do this so that she can warn them that if they do it again, you will use deadly force against them.
If she did have something to do with it, she'll tell her friend to stop because she doesn't want him dead. If she had nothing to do with it, she would do the responsible thing and tell any of her friends who might have done it that if they DID do it they should not do it again because they will end up dead. In short - if she values her friends she will tell them never to assault you.
If someone is going to take the law into their own hands they should not be surprised when someone does the same in their defense. If anyone was dumb enough to assault me over something they heard second hand from a biased source, I would aim to kill.
Of course, if they're carrying a gun that's a good way to get yourself shot as well. Either way, she should value her friends enough to warn them that they could become seriously injured or killed.

Uh, getting the fool arrested and locked up IS retaliation. Same thing with sueing her if she knew or jailed if she planned it.
I'd like to hear from PH, before I make any more judgements though.
Someone had the idea of buzzing through her myspace friends, excellent idea. You might recognize what he looked like or see identifying marks.

I don't use it daily. The time I used it which led to all this was the first time I had used it in about 4 months. And 10mg is nowhere near an od.

Well, I guess you'll just have to start extracting your revenge. Any Totseans here live in New York?
Also, I like to bring my companion Mr. Glock with me whenever possible. Glock vs. bat, Glock wins everytime.

What is it you want? I've got M-60s, M-16s, M-200s, 5-inch artillery, TASMs...
I'm sure we still have naval craft in the Great Lakes.
Honestly, though, if I were back in the area, you could call me for backup.

You have any RPG launchers? I don't care whether or not they're demilled.

Did you guys meet through totse?
That'd be rather random.
Anyway. I have no problem with going to the police on certain matters. Fucker hit me with a bat, I'd take his ass to court, try and get as much money out of him as possible.
Sure, I could go and beat him, but that'd get me into more trouble and I like money.

As mentioned, and as you mentioned, keep armed all the time - Sods law says your fucked if you don't.
I would say go to the cops, but if you know fuck all about the guy its pointless.
Do you know of any CCTV cameras in/near/around the parking lot? - Might be worth a look.
Warn her that you wont go down so easily next time. Don't mention that your packing though.

Considering that she's a member of these forums, she probably already knows by now that he's packing.
A model 21? You mean the Winchester Model 21? That would be somewhat difficult for concealed carry?

No, a Glock 21 .45.
And I just talked to her some more, and there's reason to believe it was some sort of vigilante acting on his own accord, most likely trying to get with her.
I've made a police report on it, and MSP is conducting an investigation.

Sweet Jesus , Mary and all the Saints!
I know some of you are americans but that really is no excuse!(I mean americans being allowed still to defend themselves or even use 'terminal force' when required to do so)
Look, let me lay this out for you all real simple.
A man who runs up behind you and attacks you with a bat across the knee is 1. frightened of you because otherwise he would confronted you face on. Not necessarily out of any misplaced sense of machoness but simply to let you know what was coming and why.
2. scared of the police/going to jail. If he had wanted to do you real harm (break your leg) then he'd have grabbed something like an iron bar. As it is possible to break a femur/dislocate a knee with abaseball bat type thing, one has to assume that he either pulled it or is very weak/unused to swinging a bat.
The chances are that he is indeed trying to ingratiate himself with PH and he now feels honour has been reclaimed.
If he doesn't then his next attack will also be in your blind spot or he'll bring a couple of mates.
If he catches you in a 'blind spot' , ie off guard, then your gun won't help at all..unless you plan on shooting him in the back while he runs away again. In which case you gonna be spending your college fund on lawyers fees.
If he comes with friends then if you're very lucky they'll all run when you pull your gun and they'll all be too frightened to ever try again.
Sometime it happens, sometimes it don't. If it doesn't then you're going to have to shoot.
You that good?
Assuming they are unarmed or only carrying bats, you good enough a shot to shoot the leader in the leg?
ooooh you mean to shoot to kill? Use terminal force?
Well if all three are armed then that'll probably fly in court as self defence.
But if only one is armed, if the other two intend to use their fists?
Shoot a man armed only with a bat and seriously wound or even kill him and you may well find that the DA disagrees very much a lot with your risk assessment.
Unless you know for a fact that you can hit a man in the leg, while he's moving towards you, at say 10 ft, do NOT carry a gun for this situation.

I'm going to call bullshit. He's a firefighter. If need be, some evidence can magically appear at trial, like the firearms the deceased were carrying.
You know..
Carry a gun, and shoot to kill. I may not be a lawyer, but I can promise you that any worthy lawyer will be able to bring up reasonable doubt during trial, and clearly show that you had reason to defend yourself, ESPECIALLY since you file a police report.
Police report + being jumped (even by those without weapons) = right to self defense
Just don't shoot them more than necessary, or else you're more likely to get charged with murder 2.

Here's my advice. Don't go to the cops. Drive to her house and threaten her until she gives the name of the guy who attacked you. She won't go to the cops. Why not?
Because you already have one over on her.
Find the guy, beat/mame/murder his ass. Seriously, if all you did was do a bit of drugs she has no grounds for hurting you like that. It was all a coincidence? Maybe it will be a coincidence when the guy who attacked you is put into a coma too.

1. Gunshot to the leg is still deadly force, both legally and in actuality (there's a big artery there afterall). Also hitting a moving target is difficult, hitting a small moving target even more so, and a leg is most definitely going to be moving more than anything else you would aim at. When you use a gun you aim COM(chest for those not familar with the termanology).
2. American courts work a little different than UK courts, as long as the firearm was carried legally than 9 times out of 10 if he was outnumbered or his assailant was armed with any weapon he would be found justified in using deadly force.

If it was at her behest, then she now knows that you're carrying a firearm, so she probably won't be encouraging anyone she knows to attempt to harm you. I'd say relax a little but it might indeed be some numbnuts who she knows nothing about.

Actually, the legs are a "green zone" and aren't considered targets for deadly force.
However...
The use of a firearm constitutes the highest level on the deadly force continuum, and the mere fact that its employed (no matter WHERE it's aimed) is considered "deadly force."
The truth is, the attacker used a bat and that means he was on the second highest level of the deadly force continuum. A bat counts as an intermediate weapon, and the fact that he targeted your knees (which I believe is a red zone because any trauma to them has a high risk of causing permanent injury... it may be a yellow zone, but I'll have to check) means that he wasn't just trying to make you feel a little pain. He was trying to fuck you up. This DOESN'T mean he's any more in favor with the law. That bat used against your head or any other guaranteed red-zone counts as deadly force.
You made a good choice with the Glock. With the exception of the front sight bead (which tends to pop off when it fires) they have quite a lot of kinetic energy and stopping power. My advice to you would be to NOT AIM FOR THE FUCKING LEGS like a lot of people have said. The legs are difficult to hit, anyway. You want to aim for center-mass. It's the largest target area on the human body which means your shots will be more apt to actually hit.

Aiming for the chest is a real good way of killing someone and therein lies the rub.
I'm not american nor am i a lawyer yet I seem to have a better understanding of your self defence laws than a lot of you.
THE MOST IMPORTANT question is: Is your assailant black?
If so then all your rights are repealed.
If so then he'd better be armed with a uzi ,and have at least another friend with him who is also similarly armed, before you shoot to kill otherwise you're going down for at least 10 years.
You get me ?
You understand the point I'm trying to make?
Don't matter none what you think the law is. Don't matter none about colour zones of deadly force.
You shoot someone and the DA decides whether it was righteous or not.
Not you.
Not totse.
Not even your Lawyer.
And you want to bet that the junior in the DA's office is a young black girl who got the highest ever SAT scores in the State, is pro Gun Control, pro choice and thinks rodney king was a martyr?
Suuuure a good expensive lawyer will break the DA's case but that takes time...time that Bubba ain't gonna give you!
Oh oh oh , he wasn't black?
Well do you know if he was Native American/Cuban/Mex or if his dad/uncle/brother is a cop?
Same thing.
I'm talking real law here peoples...
Or maybe your attacker is, as I suspect, some 17 year old , white middle class, computer nerd?
He comes at you with a bat again and you 'bust a cap' on him...
Of course his parents will be on your side, of course they will say to the police 'our son was a loser and he brought his death upon himself'
No way. They are going to be screaming to the press, to the DA to anyone who'll fucking listen that you gunned down the apple of their eye in cold blood.
And you wanna bet the dad's brother goes fishing with DA?

Sure, kicking the ever loving piss out of them. That I have no problem with. But unless they've distinctly come to kill you or they've done something like raped someone, I'm not for killing them.

Firefighters and cops usually aren't that tight. Certainly not enough to fabricate evidence in a murder/attempted murder case unless you already have a personal relationship with one of them.

I wouldn't want to kill, just maim. It's harder for them to prosecute 2nd degree murder if the person isn't dead.

Hahaha...
For once I actually approve of something associated with Pirate Hippie.
Now I just hope MLoR takes sweet revenge and maims her even worse.

Why the hell is Jack Ketch arguing deadly force laws OVER THE INTERNET?
You're from england, the land where grannies get thrown in jail for using their umbrella against knife wielding thugs. Shut the fuck up.
I'm quite aware of use of force laws. If someone comes at you with a baseball bat, they could cripple and kill you in short order. It doesn't matter if they hit you in the knees, if you pull out your gun and they don't immediately turn and run, they're probably bent on killing or crippling you.
Shut up, jack.

Re: It seems my ex is sending people after me...
Why don't anyone who have at least Pirate Hippie's email address invite her to post in this thread? Just so we can hear what she has to say, ya know?
Edit: Nvm, I looked at her profile and found it: kittybacon@hotmail.com
I sent her a e-mail and I encourage everyone interested by this thread to do it.

I figured I'd just as soon not get into the middle of it. I'd rather not have to deal with any of her vigilantes, as ammo is just getting too expensive these days.

Are you people fucking retarded? If someone comes at me with a bat, I'm going to empty my revolver into him. A bat can be a deadly weapon; one hit to the head can kill you.
I know things work differently in shitholes like the UK where law abiding citizens are disarmed and the government punishes you severely for exercising your basic human right to self-defense. However, where I live, if someone attacked me with a deadly weapon and I defended myself with deadly force, I'd walk, easily.

All the way to the chair if you're wrong. You like betting your life that your understanding of the law is the same as your DA's? You like those odds?
Don't get me wrong, I hope you're right but why oh why do I have this feeling that there are several men on Death Row at the moment who'd disagree with you ?

Re: It seems my ex is sending people after me...
I still find these Great Braggings of Ability quite laughable. As if this was a secret forum which the Evil Attacker had no access to! Or as is more likely he's reading every word...
You guys who realize that, are now thinking, "Well, now he'll be wearing body armor!"
Why? Why won't he attack from behind & from hiding? What good is a Mac-11, when your attacker comes up behind you & thumps you with a rock?

That's why you have to be aware of your surroundings.
I live in a part of town that's not too bad, but it's near a shitty area (2 cops were shot to death just a couple days ago) and women jogging have been raped frequently around here, and yet I still see women jogging, at night, by themselves, with headphones on, all the time.

Ever heard the expression "I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6?" If someone is coming at me with a baseball bat, they might "only" want to break my kneecaps, but I'm going to assume that my life is in danger, and I'm going to shoot first and deal with the legalities later. Even if I knew that I was "only" going to be seriously injured, I'd still fire, and I wouldn't feel a shred of remorse.
We have a "stand your ground" law where I live that says if you are attacked and use deadly force to defend yourself, you can't be charged.

Seriously, some of you people are more worried about going to jail for a few years then some asshole who *might* be trying to kill you.
You guys need to get your priorities straight. Reminds me of the PETA humpers who don't care about human massacres but cry about a dead chipmunk on the road..

Indeed. I've been to jail, it's not that bad. The worst part is there isn't really anything to do. Prison on the other hand is where you have to deal with bubba if what I've heard is true. But you only go to prison when sentenced(or maybe after waiting for trial for longer than a year, I'd have to double check on that).
Either way, if someone is a threat to my life they are going down and I'll deal with the legalities later. In my state(same as parallax's) I'd walk easily, I probably wouldn't even be arrested or charged in the first place, I'd likely loose the gun for a few months as evidence though. In some states in the US would put you away on the other hand. It all depends on where you live.

I think I should point out that someone saying "This is for Katey" doesn't necessarily mean that Katey actually ordered this attack. It was probably just some guy who wants to bone her.
Also, you should file a police report about the incident.

Lucky you, wish we had that here.
However my point remains valid...the phrase 'if you are attacked' alone would have me worried.
In all the years you've lived where you are, you never heard on the news that someone has been released from prison on appeal because it was later decided that he was indeed attacked in a way that warranted a terminal force reply?
People, i'm not saying you shouldn't defend yourselves or never use terminal force to do so.
I've done so on many occaisions. But I've also walked out of court a free man after having pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder.
I'm asking you to THINK before you do.
The law behind the law is the same everywhere. Trust me on that.

If you're worried that bringing the law into it will dampen your chances for retaliation, keep this in mind. What's worse, a thorough asswhooping, or living in terror of dropping the soap?
