so, who's got the coolest parents??

i know, lenient/cool doesn't necessarily mean they're good/responsible parents. let's forget that for now.

i live only with my mom and she's pretty cool. as i went to throw something away i noticed 3 large malibu bottles, a big bottle of JD and a jug of cranberry juice all in my trash can that used to be under my bed. i know my mom threw them away cause she was in my room that day taking all my books out of an old bookshelf and putting them in a new one she bought for me (i was in vegas at the time).

and i'm only 18. she also doesn't mind my girlfriend coming over like 4 times a week and us boning. she's 16. my bed now has lots of incriminating stains.

to her credit, i understand she grew up as a hippie and experienced much more than i have and thus understands what i'm doing isn't very dangerous, and she isn't simply just being neglectful. also, since i've been very little she always placed a very high importance on my academic success and happiness.

so totse, tell us about your parentals.

i wish my mom was as easy going as yours =/

sometimes people think my dad's cool when they first meet him, 'cause he's knowdledgable, has done loads of things and is mega sociable blahlah. which is actually kind of good as he has good stories/could help you with anything, but he's got an ego the size of jupiter and a mother of a false god complex.

Yeah, my dad is super friendly and sociable also. But people don't always realize that they way people act in public might be different from the way they act at home. And he's an engineer, so he's relatively intelligent, but he can't always explain things. But he's still cool sometimes regardless.

My parents are fine. They were firm with me as a child but still very very fair. I've a lot of respect for them which you're meant to have and they give me space to be. Rock n roll.

I'd have to say I was the best parent here.

Mom is 100% oblivious. Got mad at me for smoking a cig, now is secretly suspicious of me. Actually makes my step-dad pick his daughter up early from school so I don't get to spend ANY time home alone. Did I mention he works weekends so he's pretty much at my house all the fucking time? It really fucking sucks. Thank god she doesn't know I smoke weed, she was like "I hope you haven't been using narcotics! Like marijuana!!"

She would flip shit. She's gay like that, but honestly she's a good mom for not letting me do it, and isn't a bitch at all. I love her, no shit. Eventually I'm gonna invite her to the table, sit her down with some unbiased marijuana print outs, and then we will have a mother-son smoke session.. More than likely after I move out.

my dad is pretty cool. he gives me beer everynoe and then. gave me 2 glasses of scotch and 5 budweisers at a party once. my mom could give a shit what i do.

My folks are really mellow. As long as I'm not doing hard drugs, breaking shit when I'm drunk, and keep the door closed while my chick is over, I can do pretty much whatever I want.

My mom'll usually buy us alcohol as long as she knows where we're going and that we're gonna be responsible about it. My dad buys me pot from some guys he knows sometimes.

Only problem is that they'd kill me if they knew I smoked cigarettes.

Old people aren't allowed to be cool.

My parents are cool as all hell. True story.

mine are pretty good. they found a plant in my closet (which was when they found out i smoked) and destroyed it, but hey, what did i expect. now that they know i smoke and that i won't stop if they tell me, i can leave weed/pipes/my bong out in the open in my room, and smoke in my room, and they won't say anything about it. i can talk to them about drugs, like weed, salvia, and other stuff. by dad hate's drugs, though, and my mom won't tell me what she's done in the past. i've never been in trouble for any drug with the law/school system, so i think that plays a big part. they are more strict with my girlfriend being with me in the house when they're not home, as she's underage. but they like her and give me privacy. one thing i love is anytime they need to talk to my when i'm with friends, even if i'm in my room or something and they're home, they'll call me as not to interrupt. my friends all say they're cool as well. plus they let me throw small parties in the backyard when they're home, and soometimes buy me alcohol. i turned 19 in feb, btw.

I know my mom and dad used to smoke weed back in college. My dad even almost got busted one time by the feds which would've been pretty bad since my grandmother sent my uncle off to strict private school when she caught him drinking. I know they were pretty open to new things back then.

Now things have changed a lot.

My dad would freak out if he knew I smoked or did anything. If a guy gives me a hug and he sees it, he'll come up to me later and ask sternly, "So, who was that boy?"

My mom would be okay with it, I think. In fact, she probably suspects I do it since I'm pretty liberal and she knows it. But because of her job, she would never officially condone it or anything.

I'm 18 and out of the house though.

My moms pretty cool, I always have a bunch of people stay over at my place including girls, and get drunk/smoke in my house, and even hotbox the garage.

But they don't tolerate anything else aside from alcohol/weed.

This has been cool with them since I was 15, and turning 18 soon now.

My dad on the other hand is constantly pissed off at me when I do this but doesn't say anything, well my dad and I never talk anyway lol.

My parents have never cared what I did. I could always stay out as late as I wanted, go where I wanted, and have whoever I wanted over anytime I please. My parents have no problems with me keeping knives, guns, or any other weapons in my house.

Then again, I have never done anything for them not to trust me. I don't drink, smoke, or get brought home by the cops daily, more like monthly and that used to just be because I was out past city curfew. Now that I have no curfew, the cops don't bother me at all. I am a pretty good kid overall I guess. I don't do well in school because I am lazy, but other than that I don't think my parents have much to complain about from me.
