A nice guy is more likely to sit there and respect you and what you're feeling, and while this by all means is not a bad thing, sometimes all a girl needs is a guy to come up, put his arm around her waste, and claim her as "his girl." Now, nice guys do this too, but the assholes are generally more aggressive about their females, which is definetley something all girls need.

The thrill of the hunt

If a guy is arrogant, cocky, and all-in-all just an ass, he's less likely to give a fuck about women at all-thus, the girl has to work for his attention and, obviously, affection. If it's being dosed out constantly, there's nothing to work for. Secretley, girls want to earn your affection by beating the competition in looks, attitude, willingness, etc.

The assholes are usually picky
