Default what the fuckkkkk

ughhhh i just had the most awkward phone conversation ever with my girlfriend. and then cause it was so awkward i decided to just end it and talk to her later, but for some reason i told her i was just gonna go cause it felt awkward, and then she awkwardly said that she had to go anyways, and she hung up.

normally they're kinda awkward, but only because we can never think of anything to talk about but it's obvious we just like hearing each other's voices.

what felt really awkward about it though was that she sounded like she really didn't want to talk to me, and i havent talked to her in like 5 days, even though we usually talk almost every day.

fuckkkk long distance relationships make me paranoid.

just to clarify, i do legit get paranoid, like for a while if we didn't talk for a couple days i'd think it was cause she didnt like me anymore and i'd get all depressed, then once we talked id be fine again for a while. i finally told her about that and she was all reassuring and shit so i got over it, but this ridiculously weird conversation just brought it all flooding back.

Seriously though, that would freak me out. I would never be able to handle a long distance relationship. I get paranoid enough when the girls right next to me, let alone a significant distance away.

yeah thanks cause that's not the obvious thought that would be making me feel all shitty.

im hoping it was just that she was chillin with people, cause she's kinda shy and wouldn't really wanna talk all intimate with a bunch of people around.

Yeh she might be guilty. Well she'll probably tell you later on that it was all nothing and its business as usual for you two. She's just racking up the skeletons dude. Demand an explanation and be forward about it.

Just be like, why were we all awkward etc.

1. I think most will agree on this: Make the topic title relevent to what the thread is about. Ambiguous topics such as "What should I do?" and "WTF?" leave no hint as to what the thread is about and does not make anyone want to click on it. I'm not asking for a summary here, just a general direction as to what the hell I'd be getting myself into if I click on your thread. The more specific you can be with the least amount of words is a plus in my book.-MrMojoRisin

I feel the same way sometimes.

You just need to talk to her more often to get back to talking to each other. I know it sounds weird but talking to her or even better, visiting her will help most of the time.

It works for me at least.

i try to talk to her pretty much every day... but there's a 6 hour time difference, so it's kinda hard.

fortunately i get to visit her in a couple weeks. it's been almost 4 months.

...I've been in your position.

From the look of it there's 3 things about to happen...

1) She's going to tell you she's fine and it's just been real hectic, but everything will go back to normal soon. (Unlikely)

2) She'll break down, tell you something has made her think twice about the relationship (met someone new, etc), and ask you to reassue her that you two are meant to be together, that everything will eventually be worth the pain of being apart. (...Building up to #3)

3) She'll tell you she can't take it anymore, she wants to give up (most likely still want to be friends), and depending on your past record of fights (Read: How many times has above #2 happened to you) you'll decide it's just not worth it anymore, and no one is learning from the repetition.

...Brace yourself, and hope for the best. If something is wrong, and she isn't telling you, or atleast attempting to talk (does it seem like you're doing all the work to keep you two going?), then really think about your situation.

I'm not sure if any of that helps, but since you're asking for advice online, I'm kinda of assuming a lot... Also, probably adding some of my past experiences to fill in the holes...

For me, she chose #3... We're not friends, don't even talk anymore. And, I'm out $315 on a plane ticket I bought when I had planned to come visit her. (...Yeah, fucking sucks.)

...Hope I'm wrong on all this.

honestly, she might just be a bit quiet today :/

sometimes i'll be all quiet, just because i'm tired or just because i'm tired, and my boyfriend will be all "are you okay?" and whatnot, and really i'm fien, just not feeling very talkative.

Actually the title was relevant to the post.

The post was as inane and irrelevant as the title.

It was basically what the fuck, over and over again.

I think it's a lot easier talking in person then on a phone or msn. Not like I can't do it, it's really not that hard to find something to talk about especially when you both actually enjoy it, This is why you date people with a lot in common. (duh)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news pal but I'd say your visit ain't gonna be as wonderful as you'd hoped.

Judging by what happened and from my own experiences, I'd say get ready for slap accross the face with a dead fish.

Last time that sort of thing happened to me, the girl at the time was 98% sure that it was time to break up with me. I know this because she admitted it to me. After a couple days we met up, went for a drink (she paid thank fuck!) and she told me that she had decided we weren't going in the same direction anymore. Things were just too different, she needed to be alone for a while, it wasn't me it was her, blah blah blah...

Hurt like Hell at the time...Especially when I saw her with another guy about a week later.

But you move on...And she still asks old mutual friends I bump into every once in a while how I am and whether or not I am single because, apparently, she thinks we should get back together. Dumbass.

Someday people will reallize that if they constantly spend their time worrying about what their significant other is doing, they probably aren't in a healthy relationship. And don't give me this bullshit about "oh, but we're in love, s/he's my one and only!" Love is just an addiction to a person which isn't necisarily unhealthy.

An addiction?

Love changes people for the better.

Like I said, it doesn't necisarily have to be a bad thing.

Hell, drug addictions have changed me for the better; maybe not while I was addicted, but in the end.

Maybe you shouldn't worry. I have been in your position, and it means doom when a girl stops talking but it was just once...I mean, it has been 5 days and maybe she was just tired or something. Seriously, I am a quite bloke, and I am always tired. People think I'm spaced out or shy when I am actually merely friendly and tired. My ex even had real problems with it, so just chill for the moment.

I am currently in a long(ish - 3hours by bus) distance relationship, and i have experienced the exact same thing.

We are a completly sound couple, but on the phone we do sometimes get pissed off at each other, and we have both hung up on each other. I used to get paranoid about her going and fucking another guy, but if we talk she will sort me out. The paranoid part died out after a bit, but then i am not the most paranoid guy and i dont know what you are like.

It will test the relationship but if you manage to pull it off it makes you stronger together.

i am paranoid as hell. that's just part of me, that rears its ugly head sometimes.

yeah, this was nothing. everythings back to normal now, even though we never really discussed this fucked up call, but my best guess is that she was just out hanging with people getting fucked up and was self-concious with everybody around her.

soyeah. this thread can die now i guess.
