Well to start off, next month I will be 18, infact my highschool prom will be on my 18th birthday. But anyway, recently some shit went down between my girl and her parents, her parents are VERY strict(she is 18 and usually has to be home by 8, we can barely ever hang out etc) Her stepdad is abusive and used to beat her mother, this guy also did and delt meth for 30 years and was molested by his uncle at a young age, basically hes very fucked up. She got her liscense about 1 or two months ago but still can barely drive anywhere. Well on friday me, her sister and her sisters friend decided to leave school during lunch and get some jamba juice which was just right down the street. The whole way she was freaking out thinking she was gonna get caught somehow...turns out she did.

Right as we pull into the parking lot near jamba juice her fucking parents roll up behind us as we were parked, the stepdad gets out and I seriously thought he was going to drag me out of the car and beat me.. Turns out he let me off easy with a harsh yelling at/cuss-out out from the other side my my girls car,he basically said dont call the house and your not allowed over anymore, minus about 6 four letter words. So me and her sisters friend walked back to school, havent talked to my girl since friday. The thing is though..For the past couple of weeks ive been kind wanting to break up with her. Shes kind of the airhead type girl with ADD (I have it too) and the only thing shes got going for her is she is pretty damn hot (and is a virgin) When were with her friends I constantly feel like im 2nd priority.

What would you guys do?

Talk to her about it at school. If there are issues besides this one, maybe breaking up isn't the worst idea. Going toe to toe with her father might not be the best idea for you, and that's the only option I can see in your future with this girl.

You obviously have a low opinion of your girlfriend. So...she should not be your girlfriend. She deserves better. In fact...anyone does.

well..my ADD wasnt really the point of the thread. The point was my GF has psycho parents who hate me now, and im not really liking things between us as of now and sort of want to break it... But prom is coming up and I already made plans to go with her and bought the tickits and shit. Sorry I didnt include this in the last post, I was kinda stoned.

Still you mind can be trained to be able to concentrate longer without meds ADD or not.

Though it is harder and takes longer if you do have ADD.

Myself I have manic-depressive psychosis (bipolar disorder) and during a manic cycle it is just as bad if not worse as ADD (that's my opinion) but you can't use mental illness as an excuse (won't even hold in court very well).

I went through a similar relationship with my ex. The dad (stepdad) gets over it after a while and tries to make up to you. I had a couple of confrontations with my ex's stepdad but it never got physical out of respect for eachother because of the way we were.
