E-relationship conundrum
Lets imagine you've met a girl online(or boy if you're female or that way inclined). You fall in love with them, with their personality, their intellect. You desire her for her mind as much as their gentilia.
You get hard just IMing her.
You feel drawn and connected to her in a way you've never felt with another girl before.
Then suddenly you discover that she is really a 200 lb 40 year old trucker from Utah!
Ok, in the first instance you'd be shocked, angry and probably abit disgusted with yourself.
But after a while would you realise that their body was never what really turned you on and you do indeed love this man?
I need to make clear, as some of you know about me and her, that I AM NOT TALKING about oc6 here!!! (who is not only VERY female but is also the only woman I have ever known with 2 g-spots between her cute ears...one for each hemisphere!)

Re: E-relationship conundrum
It's like one of those moral hypothetical doo-dahs, except about relationships and luuuurve, right?
I have, once before, sorta fallen for someone online. It lasted three years!!! But I met him in the flesh before actually taking it to that level, so it's different. The point is, without having met a person, I wouldn't be able to let it get so far in my head. I'd not get carried away if that makes sense.
If you find out someone is not who they said they were(as in a different gender, or they lied with fake photos), it's entirely different to someone just being unattractive IRL.

Re: E-relationship conundrum
I would soon lose any feelings I had for them, such a fundimental betrayal undermines everything.

Re: E-relationship conundrum
Yeah I reckon Flock's right.
If you manage to get so attached to someone you've never met, I don't think it's actual true attraction in the normal sense.
It's only attraction to a part of the person.
In real life, if you love someone's company but don't wanna sexx them, they're a friend, right?
It'd be a bit more complicated, but I think that's how to treat that situation.
Unless his sexy trucker intellect is so hot you just can't restrain yourself. In which case, get yer freakin' freak on .

I'm not 200lb's, not 40, not a trucker, and am certainly not from Utah.
I would be shocked that I didn't pick up on anything different. I would probably find it unthinkably funny and feel sick to my stomach. In all probability, I'd allow my intellect to overwhelm my feelings.
After deceit on that level, I'd probably never be more than a friend.
That being said, I've never had to go through it. I've talked to a couple people in such a situation before; they were a little bit mixed up, but seem like generally good people. They seem to have very high standards.

Re: E-relationship conundrum
a main component of attraction is physical attraction. I know several girls who have personalties to die for but look like the mother trucker you described and i'm not attracted.

Re: E-relationship conundrum
I'm not stupid enough to believe a girl I might like online is anything but a 40 year old fat guy living a fantasy. Not that it really bothers me, I love the illusion as much as he does
