Default My best friends sister...

She is in my spanish class and my best friend recently informed me that she referred to me as handsome (people tend to lok better after they quit heroin and lose 60 pounds). we get along great and i thought she was a very nice looking girl ever since i met years ago her when i was just her kid brothers twerpy friend. at the begining of the semester we were on "hey, how are you" kind of terms, but now we talk quite a bit. my friend has mentioned that he would like it if i would hang out with his sister when he is away at college (which is most of the time) but i actually think dating her would be nice.

do i ask my friends permission? how do i go about asking permission? do i ask her out, go on a few dates and then tell him? do i just consider her forbidden territory? my friend is a laid back guy and would probably be happy its me rather than some of the unsavory characters shes dated in the past, but still its hard.

let him know beforehand, but dont ask permission. you can ignore him if he says dont do it, unless he completely freaks about it.

Just hit it. Its her life not his, no need to ask; he's basically giving her to you anyway. I mean asking you to hang out with her while his at college, what dows he think you'd do?

From what you've posted it sounds like you have his blessing. But check with him first before hand.

If you havn't talked to your friend about it yet, ask him "dude, what do you think about me and your sister hooking up?". Then decide from there.

I'd ask. If you two are close and you value your friendship, it'd be a good idea to see if it's cool with him, because he might actually think that since you two are buds that she'd be "safe" with you and you wouldn't try anything. Just explain the situation to him (that you find her attractive/she's a nice girl/you still think your friendship is important, etc.) and ask if he's cool with it. If he's not okay with it then you'll probably want to decide whether losing your best friend is worth shacking up with his sister.
