I dont think you quite understand that concept. Aside from the fact that it means you'll be paying for her drinks all night, you're still supposed to be the one dancing with her, at least 1/4th of the time.

That's what I did. But apparently the rules dictate now that you don't get the last dance unless she really, really likes you. So that's why I was after the last slow songs. Plus I wanted to stick my tongue down her throat.
