Girls, What emotions do you go through when you hear a guy does drugs?

Ive herd from a buddies girlfriend that occasionally girls find the men Mysterious. I have also herd the opposite however.

Im not talking about a guy you walk into a conversation with and hes saying..."OOO YA MAN!! I JUST RAILED 5 FATTY LINES and GET THE NEEDLE READY FOR SOME SPEED!!!"

Im talking more along the lines of if you find out the guy takes psychedelics such as mushrooms....or E...Or something. How do you view a man after you know hes done or tried drugs?

My perception of him would not be altered, and I hope any guy would extend me the same kind of attitude.

So long as I or the guy wasn't addicted and suffering as a result. At that point, relationships can struggle.

I have nothing against drugs and I've dated people who've been on them but if any guy would let it take over his life and ruin the relationship, he's got a pretty weak will. Reliance on any substance generally shows people's weaknesses.

well me and my girlfriend both do drugs. i'm more into the hallucinogens/entheogens, while she's more into stuff like coke. the coke bugs me kinda, just because we both know she's addicted, but it's not really having a negative effect on her, so it's not a big deal. she's also interested in hallucinogens to some extent, so i've introduced her to some things, and we're planning on doing acid together when i visit her in a few weeks.

i'd have a hard time dating someone who didn't do drugs. what's the point if you can't chill together with a big blunt?

Doesn't bother me, as long as they're not a junkie, their priorities are messed up.

So true. I know a girl who was going out with a comparitively ugly guy with no prospects, for the simple reason that he provided her with lots of drugs. She is the fussiest bitch around but she went out with him for years. Way to long.

I find men who do drugs more attractive than those who don't. Drug users are usually way more open minded than non drug users. There's so many fuckers out there who drink and smoke, but then claim that all drugs are evil...

I actually wish my boyfriend did more drugs. He's just a stoner though. But when I think of all the crazy coke sex we could have...But he wont do coke. I would also really like to do E with him, but he wont do that either. And we did mushrooms together recently, but he said it was his last time. So I'll never get to experience mushroom sex either.

It doesn't bother me. My boyfriend and I both smoke pot and he's done a few other things besides. I don't have a problem with it, though he's promised me he'll never do Ecstasy because of a heart condition he has.

Of course it depends on the way they present their drug use. Guys that brag about it or do it for attention aren't attractive. I find guys that know what they're doing and are low-key about it much more interesting.

^^ grungekid has a point. While I wouldn't say drugs are my life(they definitely aren't) they are definitely part of my lifestyle and if a girl I'm with can't handle that then things just aren't going to work out.

Additionally, I would want a girl I could roll with. Rolling with people you care about like good friends, girlfriends, etc is just amazing and I would want someone I'm with to be apart of that amazing time

And hey sickboy, I do coke, E, and acid and I've been meaning to try shrooms. And I live in South Florida, it's a great vacation spot (I had too, I know I'm not gonna score with this I just wanted to have some fun with it)

duuude the only time i've done E was with my girlfriend, about a week after we met, way before we started going out. we had been making out for pretty much 24 hours straight, then we stopped to get the E, then spent the whole day rolling together and talking and shit.

i would have to call that the best day i've had so far.

Nice. I couldn't imagine a better first experiance with MDMA. Just be careful about falling for someone on the stuff because you can fall for nearly anyone. Not saying don't do it, just be careful to make sure that you still feel the same way after you both sober up.

It depends. I wouldn't let it alter my opinion of a girl. I've done my fair share of drugs... but I'd prefer to be without them for now.

i probably wouldn't date a guy who did, but that's just me. i have a completely different perception of and opposition to drugs than most people i know.

why would i date someone only to constantly be on their case about something? why would i choose to be with someone knowing that there would always be that issue for us to fight about over and over and over again? i can't help the way i am. i honestly can't help feeling this way. so why would i choose to put both of us through that? i highly doubt i'm missing out. i don't look at drugs the same way you do, so how am i missing out on anything? i have a fine time with my sober life, thanks. i don't believe i said anything derogatory towards users, i didn't even say that many people agreed with me. in fact i'd say the majority don't. but that's the way it is.

Now... I'll gladly give you credit that one can find the opposite. It's pretty easy to find one person who used some substance once and failed, and one person who's straightedge and is successful.

It's also possible to find a mob of straightedges who failed in life, and a wealth of occasional drug users who are quite successful.

On a larger scale, the largest and most technologically advanced empire in the new world - the combined mazatec nations of the incan, mayan, and aztec empires - tended to have a history and theology which revolved around cocaine, psilocybin, salvia, and various lysergic acid derivatives. They seemed to outpace their sober neighbors quite well.

Meanwhile, the "straightedge" US-dominated ruling class you seem to worship regularly consumes a wide array of bizzare narcotics, stimulants, cannabinoids, and the like. GABA antagonists I wouldn't touch (again) with a ten foot pole. Propenylbenzene-derived stimulants are just "a light snack." Tight-conformation CB1/CB2 agonists are just a garnish or an afternoon pick-me-up in this supposedly "drug-free" society you worship.

When is a drug not an "evil drug" - when one eats it for deliberate effect, having studied its actions, on rare occasions... or when one just shovels it down one's throat without even thinking about it?

Perhaps you should consider that there is at least a greater possibility than you had prior acknowledged that everything you know is wrong. 'n incidentally, I'm guessing that, like most "straightedge" types... you do a *lot* of drugs I wouldn't touch.

well, I'm a guy but I'm answering this thread anyway, you pricks.

If a girl wants to smoke up or even do shit like shrooms or acid in a safe environment with people she trusts (ie not in nightclubs full of dodgy guys) I'm not bothered.

Drinking though...I dunno...I won't lie, I definitely have issues with drunk girls due to growing up with a very alcoholic mother. I suppose I wouldn't mind if she drinks away from me and doesn't talk to me. Same rules as above apply though.

I dunno. Girls and any drugs (alcohol included) and certain social situations is bad news to me.

Oh and as for tobacco, fuck no. I have (usually dormant), and I don't want to have it triggered everytime I kiss a girl.

I smoke weed and very occasionally take E, but my boyfriend does neither, and I kind of like it this way. Although I really would like to get stoned with him, I understand it doesn't do anything for him, and he doesn't mind me being stoned around him, so it's not a problem for us. He's already got too mellow of a personality to take drugs as well I think, he'd probably just fall asleep. Most of my past boyfriends have all smoked up with me, and that was cool too, but I like what I've got going now.

We've got our own separate ways to get wasted, but we still have fun together.

"Drug use" isn't an absolute value. And really, you can't even go by what drugs they do.

I used to date a chick who smoked a ton of pot. Daily smoker, definitely. She was cool and all, and we had a lot of fun, but she was completely indecisive and would rather simply avoid a problem than deal with it. And when "a problem" = "your relationship," there's a storm brewin'. I just don't want to put up with that shit.

And before anybody gets on my nuts about how pot is harmless and actually beneficial and will make you a better, nicer person - fuck off. In my experience, anybody who couldn't turn down a blunt ended up being so lazy as to be discourteous, disrespectful, and ultimately hurtful. I don't take that shit from friends OR girlfriends, end of story.

On the other hand, I've got a date with a cool chick tonight who's cute, fun, funny, and smart as a whip - but what really made me sit up and take notice is when we were chilling and somebody passed her the J, and she said "Naw, I gotta drive later." Girls with self-control have a lot less trouble earning my respect.

It doesn't worry me if a girl takes drugs or not. In the end it kinda takes a weight off my shoulders, because I do and it doesn't make it awkward when you tell her that "you and the boys are going out on the meth one night".

Drug usage aside, I'm more worried about a chick finding me more unattractive because I'm a smoker.

I guess the positive is if they can put up with constant smoking they can put up with occasional drug use.

My boyfriend and I have quite a mutual understanding of what would happen if either of us did aanything "harder" than a little pot:

heh... i tried to pass up the bowl cause i knew i had to pick up my friend in like 20 minutes, and then after that i was free to get stoned as hell all day... my girlfriend wouldn't let me pass it on... so i hit it the next 5 or 6 rounds and thats when i learned how to drive stickshift stoned.

I've been there. I didn't think i'd ever stop. And then one day i didn't feel like smoking for a while, so i stopped for about 6 months. then one day i wanted to smoke, so i smoked. stopped for a few more months. now i smoke occasionally, and i'm planning on going back to that stoner lifestyle you speak of when i move back to hawaii.

basically, it's not that bad a thing, and if you really wanted to stop, you'd have no problem.

I don't have a problem with people who choose not to use certain(read illegal) drugs for whatever reason. I don't have a problem with people who choose not to use any drugs for whatever reason, and actually would have a lot of respect for them if I could actually think of one of said people but that is near impossible so I can't think of anyone who's never even had so much of a cup of coffee(because caffine is in fact a drug any way you cut it) before. I don't have a problem with people who use every drug under the sun either as long as they maintain some self-control. What I do have a problem with is when people look down on somebody based soley on the fact of weither or not that have/do use drugs.

I am done with this thread now that it has degernated to the point that is has. This thread wasn't supposed to be an arguement about weither or not "drugs are bad."

I extremely rarely even drink coffee or alcohol, and I've never smoked a cigarette.

I think drug users, who use on a constant basis, have a deeper problem with their life. They use it to get away, even if they say it makes them relax and chill out.

You don't need drugs to chill out and relax and get away.

I would never date a girl who uses hard drugs. Marijuana is still an issue because you don't come by a stoner who just gets high once and a while. Most people who smoke weed are obsessive in a sense... getting high before a movie... before a drive... how they're going to smoke it... the process of the whole thing.

It's discusting to be honest.

I drink from time to time on the weekends and know in my own mind I don't have a problem. I may get smashed, but I'm around the right people and my mind is clear. I don't see what's wrong with that here and there.

People that have a past of drug use?

Once a drug addict always a drug addict. They may not be addicted to drugs, but they need something on their life to have as a crutch... even emotionally... like love, being angry, eating problems...
