well as this originally began as a argument in IRC i want your input on this how can we make BB better it used to be a gold mine look at the archives it has been loaded with great shit ... now it has gone to complete crap in all honesty PRRT played a role in this but it would be unfair to place all blame

i want your thoughts on how we can make BB better as to be 100% honest im getting sick of BB really sick and very surprised why i myself am still here i have changed as pointed out by a key member to just a non caring asshole which i have acknowledged i used to care about thing i do no longer... and i miss caring .. so tell me guys i am a Mod and i have been here a while but maybe that is what has cause me to be a ass i dunno whats your thoughts ? how do you want to make US better as a community ?

To be honest yes, BB has degraded but I don’t think its that bad. BB is my number one pyrotechnics forum because despite its low traffic its a very close knit group.

I think maybe you need to be a bit more strict with the crap that ends up in here deleting rather than locking threads. Make some rules clear and get some good threads filled with lots of contributions and loads of pretty pictures!

Edit: How about some "how tos" possibly set projects for certain readers and provide a writeup (Stole the idea from the anime forum) and a proper active adopt a n00b scheme?

i don't mean to be rude by any means at all i show you have been a registered member since 03-07-2005 even then things were going down hill so the degration was still pre 05 02-03 was the golden years i found i give it to my 10,000 post... to figure out what were going to do if something is not figured out well ... i guess we will wait and see what happens

We need more intelligent new blood. I see a lot of people in BI (of all places) who would be good, but usually they're too ingrained in other selfish uses for explosives (rippng off payphones, etc.) that I don't want to give them he ammunition. but the brains are all there, all that's missing is the light-side motivation.

People just aren't as creative or dedicated to their hobbies as they used to be.

Kids have moved on to drugs, and the elders here don't need to discuss things that they can research (or already know).

granted we need to get some new blood in here but I still love coming here asking questions, and helping out.

I think maybe there is a lack of pyro research and the like on the go.

I would really like to see someone compare high and low mesh Al and spherical and flake Al in all flash comps and post the results... with vids.

I'd like to see if it is possible that some flash comps might seem to run contrary to the theory that the greater the surface area, the faster the reaction.

I would do this experiment but I lack Al at the moment

Just because that was when I registered doesn’t mean that’s how long iv been around. Iv been on totse for about 3-4 years I was just never active. Yes I am fairly new to pyro and have only been posting on totse the last 2 years and specifically in BB the last year but I do remember some of the good stuff that went on and have read a lot in the archives.

Just because im new and inexperienced in pyro doesn’t mean that I cant do my best to help out and contribute around here. Id like to see BB as good as it was just like the next person.

Maybe what BB needs is another mod I mean your the only mod that’s actually active and you have your own site to attend to, its very rare that Mokothar or K9 post maybe another mod who is very active should be appointed?

(No I am not hinting myself, im very unqualified and would never want to be a totse mod anyway!) But there are a few guys out there that are good they know their stuff and are active.

Maybe that is what BB needs maybe it isnt but I think new blood and an extra person to watch over the activities in the fourm would be a good idea?

Yes I remember before I registered BB was doing ok but about the time I started saying something half intelligant it just went down hill. I think its because we have lost some good minds with exciting new ideas. Was Krimson every a BB member? I dont recall every seeing him.

I agree with whitey, I think if we woul ddelete the locked threads than the crazy little kewls coming in would not see them and get more ideas but rather wonder were there thread went.

It would also be good to have a tutorial thread so that when new blood comes that maybe interrested in the hobby that they could have something to go off. If they have to search the net for things that cant really be found easy it may be discuraging.

Why doesnt totse have sticky threads?
