A couple quick questions:
So my gf of ~6 months broke up with me on Saturday.
We fucked for the first time ever (but we've done oral, manual, etc before).
I just turned 16, she is 15.
She said that she is under a lot of stress (2 jobs, bitchy mom, stupid friends, etc) and she said that she can't handle a serious relationship right now, and that it isn't fair to me if she can't focus on me.
She said that once she sorts out all of the bad shit going on in her life (whenever that is) that we can get back together, and that we will be best friends still.
Here are my questions:
1) Is her reason a valid reason to break up? Some of my friends tell me that that's no good reason, and that if anything that should make her need a boyfriend even more, to help cope with stress.
2) Do you think that if we stay close friends, that we still do have a chance?
Note: This isn't a "let's be friends mmk bai cyah l8r" and never talk to each other again type thing. She was the one who was wanting me to promise her that I would still be her friend.

Re: A couple quick questions:
Sounds to me like she wants you to do all the things a boyfriend would do in that situation. (comfort her and calm her down and whatnot) but you dont get to touch any of the goodies.
She has another bootycall for that.

from what it sounds like, she cares about you, but doesnt have the time/energy for a relationship at the moment. if you really want to stay together, you could let her know that you're willing to be there for her when she wants/needs without her really giving anything at all in return. that's only gonna work if you can handle that, though, so your best bet is to just accept her friendship and let the relationship go, at least for now.

She doesn't want to be with you anymore, but she also doesn't want to hurt you. If she was really serious about this she wouldn't have dumped you.

That's what everybody said when I posted about us taking a break. These doomsayers were all, "She's letting you off easy!!" or "She buht-fukking another dood!!11!"
We got back together, and were just fine until a whole bunch of shit just went wrong in her life (no having to do with me).
And we are still *really* tight friends.
So, any more comments/suggestions?

Re: A couple quick questions:
Yeah she probably doesn't like you in that special way no more.
My girlfriend's under a lot of stress. She says I'm the only good thing in her life, I get her through and without me she'd never make it.

Re: A couple quick questions:
Yeah, but different people have different methods of dealing with stress.
Some may like to let all of their problems out to their special somebody, but others just like to be alone and deal with it themselves.

Re: A couple quick questions:
as said before she's probably over you and at least has the hots for some other guy. Get over it and start looking for a new girl, be her friend if she wants or whatever but don't let her personal bullshit affect you.

Re: A couple quick questions:
So I've given thag speech to a guy before..
And I'm sorry that above posters are right slightly
Maybe she doesn't like you as much and the stress in her life and the stress of being with someone she isn't sure about it getting to her
It got to me with my bf. Him asking to hang out it just got so hard and because we went out for several years it was like we were married and that just made it harder to get away from him
So I'm sure the stress has something to do with it, but if you love someone it doesn't matter
My current relationship I'm more stressed than I have ever been in my life, but if I couldn't touch her and be with her I would be even more useless. It helps me.
I'm in love. In my last relationship I just loved him. It's hard to love someone and be stressed. If you are in love it isn't so conscious because when you're in love you'd fuck up your life and wouldn't care
