So anyways I asked a girl out for the first time ever (im pretty shy). Im 19 she is 17 turning 18 right away. I asked her if she wanted to hang out this weekend mabee see a movie or something and she said yes. My questions for my fellow totsiens are...

is there anything that needs to be done on a first date? Like some friends say I should kiss her some say no. Like say if we had a good night and im walking her to her door should I mabee give her a hug then a quick peck on the cheek or go for the lips going most of the way then letting her go the rest (like on hitch). (ive also never kissed a girl while sober). Also When we watch the movie do I put my arm around her (like those yawn moves that are always on tv). Also do I hold her hand at all during the night or is that for later dates. Thanks in advance!

1) Ask her to lead. You'll save yourself lots of trouble.

2) Be confident. Realize that she knows she's on a date, and she's fine with whatever you do. Put your damn hand wherever you damn please (your pants or hers??). Don't use movies like hitch as guides to life. They're not.

Relax, crack jokes and keep things fun and light (though don't force it, otherwise it'll be really awkward)

Just be funny, and don't worry about screwing up. Talking about music is always a good icebreaker. And go ahead and kiss her, a kiss is not asking for much. If you did good call her up and talk to her. Talking about sex will usually leads to sex. Sex is really different from porn, so don't get to excited.

i actually have a first date coming up (not first ever, but first with this girl) and we are going to go out for dinner.

but you have to be calm and do what you think is right. dont push on making a move.

also i find that holding her hand is a great way to bring you two closer together with out bringing you pshyically closer. ya know?

Well my opinion is that you just take it easy for now. Do not hug her, and do not kiss her unless she gives you hints to do it. Like someone said previously let her lead the moment.

does she think of it as a date? or more like an outing with a friend? if she does think of it as a date, just do what you feel you should. A good way to find out is to do it in a joking way though, like using one of those yawn moves or something else really corny. If she moves away or tries to get away, just let her go and keep going. If she doesnt seem to mind or moves closer, keep it there. Dont hold her hand the ENTIRE time either. Like, if you know you will have to let go in 10 seconds to drive or get something, you dont have to fill every little gap with holding her hand. It seems like your... desperate? I dont know, its just kinda wierd. Hope this helps...

Like do you mean just let her make the moves and just go with the flow? As for paying.. my first date idea has always been to let her pick the movie and just pay for 2 tickets withought asking but I think while we walk to the ticket thing il be like I can pay for us and see what she says. And also about it being a date I really dont even know if it is come to think of it. I just asked her if she wanted to go out to a movie on friday. Do you guys think thats a date? As for opening doors for her do I open the car door for her too and wait till she gets in and then close it limo-driver style or just let her do it and open regular doors for her.

dont ask, just pay for the 2 tickets and dont open the car door for her. The only way u should open the car door for her is if like u are walking to ur car from her house but u def shouldnt get out of the car just to open it for her. n congrats on ur first date
