Default Help

I've come to you guys once again for assistance in another important issue. Well let me start from the beginning of my story. I asked out one of my ex-girlfriends on her birthday (I thought she'd find it cute), so me and her started dating. We went out for a good 5 months and then one thing led to another and we ended up breaking up. Over those 5 months I'd completely fallen in love with her. It'd never been the same with me and any of my previous girlfriends. I don't know what it was but for the first time in my entire dating history had I actually been completely happy. Well after the breakup (she ended up breaking up with me) I was completely devastated. It took me about 2 months to bounce back to somewhat normal. Well after the breakup me and her stopped talking. If I ran into her I just kept on walking, if I was out with my friends and she was there as well, I just acted like she wasn't. Well sometime around January of this year (we broke up in November)my feelings for her were still too strong so I forced myself through the awkwardness and started talking to her again. Now 3 months after me and her started talking again my feelings are back full force and I'd pretty much do anything to convince her to give me a second chance. I know she still likes me (she's said so), but not enough to go back out with me. Some of my friends talked to her and she really does still like me, but shes just afraid of things going bad like they did before. This is really screwing with me and I have a history of depression issues, and it's all just dragging me down and making everything seem hopeless. I know this sounds like a stupid thing to ask, but do any of you have any ideas as to how I can win her back and to get myself a second chance? I'm sure alot of you are going to end up flaming but I really don't care, I just really needed someone to vent to and you guys were only a click away.

You sound pathetic. No for real, you do. Even if you don't care that you sound pathetic to totse, chances are you sound pathetic too her.

When you talk to her, you have to sound like you don't give 2 shits if you and her get back together. If you pull the hole, "I miss you, I need you" shit, then she's not going to want to be with you.

I'm not saying stop talking to her, just don't sound all needy to her.

Seems like the best thing you could do at this point mate, is to get over her.

If that's not a possibility at least try to distance yourself, desperation probably isn't her thing.

Follow that up with alcohol.

First of all, I'm guessing this is a high school romance...at which I will say, high school is rough, but there is so much life after high school. I've been out of high school for almost 4 years and feel like I just started living. Second, you brought sex into a young(under a year) relationship...correct? Bad to do, especially in high school. If I'm right about this...move on, if you get back together everything good and bad will come back. Stay friends if you want, there is nothing against that. But both of you need to learn to be completely happy and comfortable alone before you can be completely happy and comfortable with someone. Build your life by yourself at this young age befoer you build it with someone. All is not lost though, there is always a chance for future romance, once both of you have matured(come more into adulthood), lived, and found yourselves. Thats what you really need to be focusing on currently, not building a life long relationship with someone.

If I'm off at all, let me know and I will rebut those parts of my advise.

We didn't bring sex into the relationship, shes one of the girls that want to wait until marriage, as much as I thought that would bother me, I didn't care that she didn't want to have sex.

Ha, I'm a decent drinking buddy, but I wouldn't put out (probably). I'd try drinking with this friend of yours.

Agreed. You need to stop driving yourself crazy trying to get her back. There are girls that i still cant think about without wishing they hadnt ended it.

But being this pathetic about it isnt going to help you at all. Just buck up and keep going. Try to forget about it and find a new girl to date.

Get drunk, and try to take the whole dating thing a bit less seriously from now on. Assuming that youre in high school, you dont need that kind of relationship that early in your life.

Okay then nix that part out of what I said. How old is she and how old are you? Um, it might all just be based on age...I dont know...

I don't know what to tell ya other than you are too young to be dwelling on a girl...its just a girl, find someone new...you obviously can since you found her...grow and if you feel like it, try again later.

quote:I think most will agree on this: Make the topic title relevent to what the thread is about. Ambiguous topics such as "What should I do?" and "WTF?" leave no hint as to what the thread is about and does not make anyone want to click on it. I'm not asking for a summary here, just a general direction as to what the hell I'd be getting myself into if I click on your thread. The more specific you can be with the least amount of words is a plus in my book.MrMojoRisin
