Short story: Im Shy when I meet new girls.

Long Story: One of my best friends moved abotu 1/2 hour away so every so often I go up for the weekend. Friday night he had a few people over (about 10) about half were girls and of those girls I only knew one a bit. So we watch a movie and then talk for a bit after. One girl who I just met before the movie talked for a bit and everything was fine but after when we were in a group I could barely bring myself to say something, even if I thought of something I'd hesitate. My friend and the one girl I knew both mentioned to me abotu how quiet I was - She was a little put off because 1v1 I am MUCH more talkative. Once I get to know the group Im sure Ill get over it as I am not like this with anyone in my group of friends.

I'm not trying to get in the girls pants or anything, just trying to get over the nervousness and/or fear I have.

the obvious solution here is... alcohol!

DUH!

But really, when around girls just take it easy, relax. Treat them as equals that you have no interest in having sex with. Stuff should go easy from there assuming you have a decent sense of humor and have stuff to talk about
