Default Sometimes I wonder if my eldest has....

ANY FUCKING SENSE AT ALL???!!!111

Your mod just got back from a trip to the ATM , to find a strange girl sitting at the table talking to my eldest. She and he then went to the local shop together and then up into his bedroom (without a bio-hazard suit,so she gets full marks for bravery I guess).

He did of course omit to introduce her, having been brought up in a barn[/sarcasm].

So far nothing really unusual. I don't even bother learning the girls' names these days until they have been here several times.

I did ask him in passing if she was one of his girlfriends but he denied that and just labelled her as a 'mate'.

However, while they were upstairs youngest offsprung comes to me and tells me that this girl is only 14.

Not that that bothers me over much these days. Here in Norfolk....

But it seems that this girl had an older boyfriend last year with whom she was sexually involved.

She accused of him raping her!

I know this for a fact because the police came round to interview my lads. I just hadn't realised it was this girl.

After putting this boy through a fair imitation of hell, the charges were dropped as it was clear to all that the sex had infact been consensual etc (although personally I think its his own fault -a 23 year old sleeping with a 13 year old is asking for trouble even in Norfolk.)

AnD a girl with this track record my 18 year old son brings home and is alone with??!

Sometimes I find it really hard to resist the urge to SMACK HIM UPSIDE THE HEAD!

Come on, S&A, tell me that I am being too harsh, too prejudgemental and I should give this girl a chance etc.

Just make sure your son knows all this. (He probably does.)

Not sure if you should care one way or another about giving the girl a chance unless they're actually in a relationship. It sounds like you might be jumping the gun a bit.

Well, i'd say you have reason to be worried ketch, there isnt a big difference maturity wise from 13 to 14, if i were you, i would make sure my son was very careful in this situation, theres nothing worse then a 14 year old claiming rape cause the guy dumped her. Revenge can be a bitch, and 14 year olds wont understand (nor care) about what happens to YOUR son, if she accuses him. If i were in your shoes, i would make sure that if he wants to fuck her, that when they DO break it off, that he does it without her feeling angry at him, cause 14 year old girls, really dont care whos life they fuck up. Hurt their feelings, they'll take your nuts.

Norfolk isn't that bad. Look at Wales!

I'm also 18 and a dude in Norfolk but definately wouldn't date someone below the age of consent.

Maybe you should have a talk with him forbidding him to date girls under 16 not just because he could get in shit but also because it looks fucking weird.

I couldn't date someone that young, it would just be annoying with them loving pokemon or whatever and lolling when people say 'cheese'

Didn't you say something a while back about being really proud of your son's for being people that all their friends trusted and could seek help from?

Last night I, after everyone had gone home and things were over, me and a female friend of mine sat up in my back room until two o'clock in the morning drinking Jack Daniels and talking.

She has a boyfriend, but never the less, just because two young people, of opposite genders, happen to be in the same room together, alone, for long periods of time, does not necesserily meant that they are in any way romantically (if the word can be applied in this context) "engaged".

I also spent thursday night in the bedroom of a very attractive girl (it's been a very social week), arriving home at twenty minutes past one in the morning. I am not "going out" with this girl, contrary to popular belief.

Basically all I'm saying is that you shouldn't jump to conclusions. Instead, maybe you should mention it in casual conversation, such as when he's eating his breakfast and your leaning over to get milk out of the fridge and if he denies it leave it there.

Quite how you can casually ask if he's screwing an underage girl is your's to figure out.

Quick question you need to consider: Is she your son's type? At any rate: I am willing to bet you anything that he's hers. Fourteen year old girls do not understand the idea behind guys and girls being friends. Women typically gun for older men. Chances are she wants a little of the 'Ketch DNA on her chin.

I would explain the seriousness of the situation to your son. If he listens then that's all you can do. Leave it be, just make sure he knows.

*sigh* I used to be a teenager... I learned from my own mistakes.

I grew up a little and realised that learning from other people's mistakes gets you through life safer, though things aren't exactly drummed into your head quite the same.

I also realised that people had been trying to tell me that throughout my teenage years and I never listened.

Jack, Im sure your son knows of this girl's past and isn't actually going to rape her. So I doubt you have much to worry about.

EDIT: I is chnge mind coz 3 posts under r smrt and i belev them now. beat his up now hrd

NO, YOU ARE NOT TO HARSH, YOU NEED TO INTERVENE IMMEDIATELY.

NOW

Some girls are just fucking crazy like that, and will make up false shit thinking it's cute or some form of control, hell who really knows why some of them do it.

I had a girl make false allegations against me once. Nothing ever happened from this FIRST incident. Then she calls me crying wanting to get back with me. I said Okay, in the meantime I called a good friend of mine who is an attorney, he told me I was fucking crazy to hook back up with this chick. He said look if you do just get pics, vids, and at least audio recordings.

Well that turned out to be the best advise ever and I did follow it. Within months we broke up again and she calls the police for the second time with false allegations. I get a call to come in for a chat.

I called my attorney, he said don't talk to them, get me your pics, vids, and audios ASAP. I did, he meet with the police and I have never heard another word from the police or this fucking bitch.

Stay away from women who have the propensity to think like this. Even if they claim, "Oh I promise, I'll never do it again!"

I had the chance to date a girl who had done a similar thing with the rape accusations. Even though she was my own age (actually like 2 months older) i was still like "oh hell no! i know what happened to the last guy!"

And to do it in a situation where she is that much younger... what a BAD FUCKING IDEA.

Don't matter none if even the police and the DA don't believe her. Thanks to the Fem-Nazis these days EVERY accusation, however incredible, of rape has to be fully investigated...paper suits at dawn kinda thing, massive invasions of personal liberties (for example the taking and holding of the guy's DNA forever-whether charges are brought or not) etc etc.

You should definitely talk to your son. If there's nothing between them than trust him, you obviously have before. If you still have suspicions, bug his room.

He probably knows the risks involved, and I'd think he'd act maturely. In defense of horny teenage boys, I spent most of sunday alone with someone elses girlfriend, and NOTHING happened, because we're JUST FRIENDS. This is a perfectly possible and probable scenario.

Your job as a parent is to let your child experience life just enough to get the most out of it, but not enough to get his ass in jail/ground.

In my opinion, time to curb that enthusiasm. Put the foot down if you have to - kids are stupid, it's for his own good.

You going to point your observations "firmly" to him then? Maybe he's considered it, and really isn't romantically interested. Probably not though...

Would suck if he gets into the same sketchy situation as the other lad. Maybe you could embarrass her when she's around again; something alone the lines of "ohhh, Katie mcwhatthefuck, ahhh that rings a bell, I think some coppers were round 'ere a while back mentioning your name, rob a bank or something, did ya?"

She might not want to come back so quickly

Ketch, I can easily follow your concern.

My take on this would be to forbid that girl in the house, because she is a potential danger to your son.

She accused someone of rape, something VERY serious. I wouldn't trust her for anything, and especially not with my kids.

She may not be doing a thing like that again, who knows, she could have learned a lesson.

But I wouldn't test it on my own kids.

Yes, we do all learn from mistakes, but there are mistakes that we'd rather be without, and I think accusations of rape just might be one of those.

ok now, you said something about a 14" knife which you use to cook with? Now..take that knife and repeatedly stab this 14yr old bitch with it over and over and over again. Then, go forth and burn her body and the cloths you were wearing at that time. Then carefully dispose of the knife somewhere will it NEVER will be found.

Damn, nigga...

I support your son's gradeschool-schlupping ways, and am proud of you for raising him with the confidence to resist the social pressure to be a 'breast man' if he doesn't want to... but shit...

...there's been a long-standing tradition of social philosophy that accusing someone of rape is the only thing that's as fucked up as rape, y'know what I mean?

Would you encourage your son to hang out with someone who had a bad reputation for, I dunno, murder out of impulse control, rather than by premeditation? What if they had an argument over the remote?

I'd encourage him to go back down to the gradeschool where he found her and find someone else. Anyone else. 'n that goes for if they really are 'just friends,' too.
