Default Does anyone else see the connection?

First, the NewScientist.com article:

quote:

...

Wen suspected that the effect could be an example of a new type of matter. Different phases of matter are characterised by the way their atoms are organised. In a liquid, for instance, atoms are randomly distributed, whereas atoms in a solid are rigidly positioned in a lattice. FQHE systems are different. "If you take a snapshot of the position of electrons in an FQHE system they appear random and you think you have a liquid," says Wen. But step back, and you see that, unlike in a liquid, the electrons dance around each other in well-defined steps.

t is as if the electrons are entangled. Today, physicists use the term to describe a property in quantum mechanics in which particles can be linked despite being separated by great distances. Wen speculated that FQHE systems represented a state of matter in which entanglement was an intrinsic property, with particles tied to each other in a complicated manner across the entire material.

This led Wen and Levin to the idea that there may be a different way of thinking about matter. What if electrons were not really elementary, but were formed at the ends of long "strings" of other, fundamental particles? They formulated a model in which such strings are free to move "like noodles in a soup" and weave together into huge "string-nets".

And now, the Gospel of Truth:

quote:For the Father is sweet and his will is good. He knows the things that are yours, so that you may

rest yourselves in them. For by the fruits one knows the things that are yours, that they are the

children of the Father, and one knows his aroma, that you originate from the grace of his

countenance. For this reason, the Father loved his aroma; and it manifests itself in every place; and

when it is mixed with matter, he gives his aroma to the light; and into his rest he causes it to

ascend in every form and in every sound. For there are no nostrils which smell the aroma, but it is

the Spirit which possesses the sense of smell and it draws it for itself to itself and sinks into the

aroma of the Father. He is, indeed, the place for it, and he takes it to the place from which it has

come, in the first aroma which is cold. It is something in a psychic form, resembling cold water

which is [...] since it is in soil which is not hard, of which those who see it think, "It is earth."

Afterwards, it becomes soft again. If a breath is taken, it is usually hot. The cold aromas, then, are

from the division. For this reason, God came and destroyed the division and he brought the hot

Pleroma of love, so that the cold may not return, but the unity of the Perfect Thought prevail.

Gee.....well funded and researched material relating to intrinsic properties of subatomic particles....

....and a passage from the bible.

Forgive me if i really can't see any "connection"

Of course....it all depends on how vague your definition of a "connection" is.

your souls eye is being held shut by the dominions of satan, i will pray for you.

religion has always been 1 step ahead of science. science only proves what christians knew all along. if in 1600 you showed a cell-phone to a scientist or told a scientist that in the future you would be able to send a message to someone on the other side of the world, they would procclaim it as impossible magic, and untrue.

but now that they know it is true, it is only science, and talking on a cell phone is not magic.

perhaps in the future scientists will have enough knowledge to discover the truth about the LORD and they will accept Jesus as their Savior. I only pray it is not too late...

The Bible and holy scriptures say the day of judgement is nigh. I pray for the soles of scientists.

^ so you're saying that in 1600 christians knew how to make a cell phone....

They were just keeping quiet till those lazy scientists worked it out for themselves.

Always one step behind aren't they......

I'm aware of what an analogy is. I was being sarcastic because his use of analogy was not an appropriate one.

Then again after reading your other posts i doubt the seriousness of this one anyway. You're a troll.

He stated that science was always one step behind. That we simply discovered what christians knew all along.

This is obviously incorrect and as there is really no SENSIBLE reply to such a sweeping example of bullshit I simply used his own flawed logic against him. Assuming he is correct then "christians" knew about cellphones LONG before scientists did. Along with everything else.

no, he said if christians knew of cellphones in 1600 and told scientists about them.

christians understand things with their souls, and with their faith. scientists can only comprehend and understand things in a scientific way. perhaps 1 dya in the future scientists will be able to understand god in a scientific way. assuming judgement day does not come before then.

I would put it to you that it is impossible to understand god in a scientific way.

The whole basis of the concept relies on faith and a questioning of this blind faith is tantamount to heresy.

Hence "A scientific understanding of god" is essentially an oxymoron.

you are not very well versed in science are you? perhaps we can discuss this further when you are a more educated woman.
