I don't know if this is the right place for this topic, but by all means delete/lock away if it's not. I decided to emigrate to Australia and have been there for some three months.

Needless to say I'm finding it quite difficult. Having no mates, no family and no relationship is kinda getting to me at present.

I was in a relationship in Nottingham before I left but my missus at the time said in wasn't feasible to maintain a relationship with me on the other side of the world (which is fair enough I guess).

I moved here for a better life and it all seems a bit daunting at the minute. Just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this and it so, is there any pointers you can give me?

I actually did this last night, in the end after drinking my vodka and listening to tunes, I decided to go to the pub. Was alright and everything but I didn't really chat to many people.. I'm not really much good at small talk.
