some1 gave me mono when i was drunk a month ago at a party... what should i do? spring break is in 2 days, and i dont want 2 b home sick... any ideas, other than spreading the disease around? im in highschool btw, and mono sucks... no fever yet tho *knocks on wood*

yea, i went 2 the doc yesterday... it sucks tho... o well, i guess i can use this time at home 2 learn the guitar (already learned a few cords, G, C, and D)

I've never been in that much pain in my life and I used to be a skater and broke my kneecap.

The bad part is that you can pass it on to others even years after it's over. It never fully goes away.

The side effects last for up to a year, like depression, and tiredness all the time.

Sorry dude, but you're not going anywhere this spring break.

If i remember corectly, it mainly spread in its gestation period (30-40 days) but can in some cases be spread up to a few months.

In most cases of the disease the fever lasts for a few weeks and the tiredness lasts for a few weeks.

When i had it i felt fine after 6 weeks.

The only times it lasts for up the a year is when the spleen and liver is badly effected.

Haha, shitty dude. I got mono last summer, for like 2-3 months. Utter crap. Just get lots of sleep and force yourself to eat. Lots of vitamins. TONS of water. I managed to still go out and have fun while I had mono, instead of being pathetic and lying in bed all day sleeping and not eating. I did the opposite. I couldn't sleep for some weird reason, but I ate lots, so it was ok. Just don't go out drinking or anything, and if you don't feel like getting out of bed, don't. Get better.

sounds like im gonna be playing a lot of guitar and video games... i dont have an appitite, but my stumach feels hungry, if that makes sence... i guess ill just wait it out

Me too! i just came back from my doctor and told him about how tired and lazy ive been, and he said i might have mono
