So I'm going on birth control soon and this is the method I'll be using.

To be honest, shoving a foreign object in my vagina for three weeks seems a bit strange to me, but it's the easiest method. I'm worried that I'll forget to take the pill, Depo Provera isn't recommended for people with depression, the patch can become less effective if even a small part is ripped off, etc.

Anyway, have any of you ever had experience with it? Girls, could you feel it? Could your partner feel it? Was there anything you liked/didn't like about it?

As much as it might annoy the 'anti-bloging' faction among us I woudl , for one, be interested to hear of your experiences of it indepth.

I've been on the nuva ring for about.... 8 or 9 months and honestly, it is the best thing that ever happened to me. You only have to think about it twice a month unless you have incredibly rough sex (mine occasionally will come out if we're a little extra rough, but all you do is feel for it afterwards and check around the bedsheets). You can't feel it while it is inside you, though it can be a little uncomfortable while you're inserting it. Also, I have never even thought to worry that it might come out on it's own, barring sex. I've also noticed that the moodiness that comes with ortho-low, for me at least, is next to nothing with the ring. My periods are lighter but still about the same length.

Also, they just proved that skipping up to two periods in a row isn't harmful to your health as long as you have about 4 a year, so one every 3 months. In this case all you do is just put a new ring in when the old one comes out and make sure you account for the time lapse in your schedule.

I know this sounds like some gay commercial for birth control but I had the worst problems with the pill: mood swings, cramps, long ass periods, etc; and I've had practically no problems with the ring. So overall I highly highly recommend it. You just have to be comfortable with your body inside and out.

Ocassionally he can, but not very often. The funny times are when he'll pull out and it'll be around his dick.
