Well i finished school last year and since then I've been working bloody hard. Long hours, heaps of travel, crap pay - it's an apprenticeship and I spend most of my weeknights just chilling since I usually have early starts.

I've lot contact with lot of mates, I still see a lot of people - but the kind of people you would be happy seeing at a party , but not really going to a party with... you know?

So of my mates, I think im really starting to build a grudge against one. Probably my best. Simply because...

his 18, never had a job, drives around all day visiting people on fuel paid by his parents, goes out to do whatever the fuck he wants paid by his parents.

Then he tells me how good life is since school is out, how no-one has a care. I tell him I'm sick of driving an hour to and from work he just says find another job like they come out of the sky.

I mean his done nothing personal to me but I really want to slap him across the face. But since I'm the only one of my friends old enough to go clubbing I simply don't. I have no avenue to meet new people and calling up old friends is akward and annoying. The only people i meet at my job are middle aged men who chain smoke.

I really don't know how much more I can take before I snap though...

He's going to be a hobo later in life, while you make good money. Don't worry about it.

ok,seriously now, what 1337 said is right. Yeah real life tends to suck but once you're a journeyman and start earning real money then...then...

My brother and I have been working since we were kids. No school = Work time!

It builds a lot of character and gives you some money to live on/save up for a future.

Sooner or later this kid's parents are gonna either get sick and tired of his lazy shit or die then he's gonna be up shit creek without a paddle!

When you guys are older, he's gonna be a bum living in a shitty flat with no money while you've got experience and can go on to do bigger and better things.

Getting/having a job prepares you for the future, and makes you less dependent.

If someone just bums off their parents, they won't be able to cope if anything changes drastically to their situations.

As for your situation mate, try to stay positive although it appears his life is better he will eventually get stuck. At the moment your going through the first few stages but it will no doubt get easier, let alone that relief you will get when you realize your mates got nothing to do and is stuck down the dead-end road.

What does this have to do with Sex and Affection??
