A question for the guys and one for the girls
Guys:
If a friend of yours was bad mouthing your girl how would you react? What if you heard a stranger say something about her i.e. said she was a slut or something.
If you've dealt with this sort of thing before how did you do it?
Girls:
If you were to know your mans friends were bad mouthing you when you weren't around (or even if you were around) how would you want him to react? Is it how he would or how he has done before?

Mate: Tell him to fuck off out of it.
Stranger: Ask how he got his information. If there were no grounds for such a comment - Tell him to fuck off out of it.
Translation for yanks: If it were someone I were friends with - Tell him firmly that I wish no further discourse on the matter.
Anyone else, enquire how they came to be an authority on the subject and, more than like, ultimately tell them to fuck off.

Re: A question for the guys and one for the girls
Personally I think it depends on the person. Some people are more tolerant than others, some take offence while others don't. Some accept critique while others won't stand derision.
It's basically in how you percieve it. I myself probably wouldn't care, I know alot of people who are great but have asshole best friends they would never give up. At the end of the day he can have his friends, as long as he doesn't let it affect the relationship.

Hmm i wish i could say i'd be reasonable, but i'd probably end up knocking the fuck out of them if they bad mouthed my girl.
But it depends on the girl as well.
When a load of rudeboys nearly killed my girlfriends grandfather, i could have gone after them and got stabbed, but i decided to stay with my girlfriend, and help her through it.

A friend of yours? You listen to their opinion, but don't take it on board.
A stranger? You tell him to shut right the fuck up.

If they are like sitting on a chair or something, you should start getting naughty with your girlfriend and jump on his chair and start doing itall over the place while he squirms in agony and tries too get away.
Then you can like, tell him how awesome it is too get laid.

Mate: Keep him chatting, find out what his issue is.
Stranger: Same thing.
I wouldn't bad mouth the girl, but I'd find out their reasons for doing so before I passed judgement.

Re: A question for the guys and one for the girls
Generally, I'll tell a friend to piss off. If they want to badmouth me or my girlfriend, then they should do it behind my back and make sure that I don't ever hear about it.
If it's someone that I don't know, I'll usually let them finish. When they're done saying whatever they want to say, I'll take it from there.

Re: A question for the guys and one for the girls
If my boyfriend's friends were badmouthing me behind my back, I would expect him to stick up for me.
If it was happening while I was there? I'd be pissed if he didn't do anything. Although I wouldn't expect it of him (since it would be his friend) I'd be happy if he punched the guy out. At the very least he'd have to tell the guy to fuck off. Badmouthing somebody while they're right in front of you is low.
If it was somebody he didn't know, then I'd want him to tell me about it, because I would more than likely know the person trash talking me, and would want to deal with it myself.

I would want him to defend me. This has happened before and I'm not quite sure what my boyfriend did. He said he defended me, but I don't think I believe him because his friends are pricks and would give him even more shit if he did. I'm okay with that though.
