Default Make up.

Since I go to an all girls school, we all just basically sit around and judge one another since there's nothing else to do. Sometime's I'll say "she's hot" and one of my friend's will say it's just the make up.

From a guy's point of view, does make up actually make girls look hotter? Think of it this way, if you saw a girl who you knew would be butt ugly without paint on her face but good with it on everyday, would you still hit it? (Knowing it was all fake) Or if you saw a girl that wasn't the least bit attractive, but had the potential to look hot (with make up on) would you go for it?

Is it one's potential to look good or one's ability to do so that makes people more attractive?

A girl with lots of make up who looks good is worth fucking, but not waking up next to.

It's the ones you know are pretty with out it that you want to wake up next to.

SHUT UP.

Call me an dick. Call me an asshole. Call me the whole gooch. I don't care.

Just what floats my boat. I like my women to be ultra-feminine. So long as they're freaks in the sheets.

A lot of makeup that really changes how a girl looks is a turn-off for me. A little used well > a lot, however it's used.

EDIT: Natural beauty helps the most

From a females point of view, I think wearing makeup is fine as long as its tasteful for what you're wearing it to/for (i.e. what you would have on clubbing is a lot different then what you should wear to work). If makeup is applied tastefully, then it isn't necessary there to completely hide the truth. Infact, you'll find that in a lot of jobs, women are expected to often wear a tasteful amount of makeup to look presentable.

I don't always think the intention of females is to mislead males, with wearing makeup, more to enhance their natural features. What you see high school girls wearing is NOT what I'm talking about, look around at WOMEN that know how to apply makeup, and have colours that suit them (especially in foundation).

It's also a confidence thing. My best friend is a makeup artist and the main reason she loves her job is the satisfaction she gets from making another women feel good about their appearance.

And before anyone gets any ideas that I constantly wear makeup, think again! I don't even own foundation, and I only wear makeup when I'm out clubbing.

EDIT: Spelling.

Pity the majority of females don't know this and just think "ohmigodzzzz I gotta cover my bad skin with half a bottle of foundation and then put on tons of lipstick and eyeshadow and mascara and blusher and powder because that's what people wear to be sexy". But yeah, I agree wholeheartedly.

I adore mascara on any girl, and "blush" on tanned girls. But I don't like to be able to visually "know" that someone is wearing foundation. I actually know how to apply make-up because I'm an amatuer actor, and I see lot's of girls/women that aren't even as good as I am, and would be a million times better off if they got a brickie's trowel and scraped their makeup off and got a light tan on their face.

Seriously. Make up (e.g. foundation) is an utter cunt in that whoever wears it will get clogged pores and it's no substitute for nice skin. You can only go so many shades without looking like a fucking gothic clown because of the colour contrast.

It's a trap inside itself.

This is why when I see someone who had the sense to use face wipes and shit to clean their pores, use very minimal make-up, and get a skin tone that's like a golden brown tint I almost pass out. Such a fucking rare thing to see.

I can't emphasize enough that I'm pretty minimalistic when it comes to girls and makeup.

--

To properly answer your question, If in the end it all came down to pure looks (and it's not uncommon to happen), I would tap someone who looks great in make-up 24/7, but natural fucking splendour is something that can NEVER be beaten. A woman who wears 3 inch thick make-up but is hot underneath? No, thankyou I'm not interested in fucking someone straight out the circusunless they happen to be a contortionist.

Basic make-up is hot as hell and admittedly a an improvement to your average jane's.

..this is all IMHO of course.

Yeah i agree, certain shades of eye shadow like the bright summery MAC colors out now can enhance the color of your eyes. Mascara is good to enhance the eyes.. certain eye liners too... Lip glosses and jellies like christian dior ones at myer are also very very pretty but i dont think lipstick looks very nice its so BRIGHT and completely covers your lips like paint.

I know what you mean by "What you see high school girls wearing is NOT what I'm talking about", Its like they paint the foundation on with a spatula, concealer, liner, bronzer, blush... god damn.

But there are some very nice shades for the eyes, nice shimmers for the cheeks and glosses. I really love MAC make up, mascaras, glosses and the eye pigmentations you can get.. but they are for clubbing because they are far too bright for day wear.. more night time city wear. Day time should be least as possible and always natural colors.

I love Benefit, MAC, YSL... just a little though, to cover up imperfections. Then its subtle glosses and eye makeup to bring out my best feature.

I do honestly think that the foundation of not being banshee screamed at when someone sees you without makeup is good skincare. I spend alot on skincare as you only have one skin, and it makes the biggest difference to how any makeup looks.

Is this woman your EX WIFE? Faggot. You got mother fucking OWNED. What does divorce taste like? Is it any where near as yummy as typing this is?

Seriously, not in a mood to take YOUR FUCKING bullshit. Okay? You've pissed me off in the past, now you can take your cocksucking single self and go find a hooker, because you're obviously sleeping alone tonight.

I meant the girls who moisturize their whole bodies, wear fake tans, shave their arms, pluck their eyebrows, have 5 product long skin regimes, foundation, concealer, mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip gloss, lipstick, lip liner, bronzer, blush. Ear rings, necklaces, bracelets. Wont let their boyfriends or girlfriends wear clothes that will clash with theirs. Have clothes that match their car.

Lets not even get started on their hair.

So fuck you, jew.

FUCK, seriously, FUUUUUCK YOU. The only place you're finding any love tonight is at the bottom of a bottle.

Actually, you may think that sounds like alot but it's not really. There are girls who go for full body tans monthly, re-dye their roots bleach blond weekly, tattoo their eyes and eyebrows, get lash extensions and have lazer surgery to get leg hair removed. Very hardcore for the sake of superficiality. What you state is actually quite normal.

True, but due to personal preference. I got laid last night, so I'm good until tomorrow night.

I guess my sex drive must be declining. Much better to drink alone and get pussy when I feel like than have to sleep with the bitch and listen to her drone on and on. I can just show up when I'm horny.

So no, fuck you, hippy. Girly girls rock my cock.

Make up is used to enhance features, not draw them. When it's done right, foundation is blended, mascara isn't clumpy, lip stick isn't outrageous and lip and eye liners are discreet, making the parts that you've applied them to appear naturally that way. That's what I mean by 'can't be seen'.

If you NEED makeup to look pretty... you're not pretty.

If it takes longer than 5-10 minutes, on average, to apply makeup, and longer than 30-45 minutes to shower, moisturize, blowdry, makeup, style and whatever the fuck else it is girls do, you're either slow and retarded, ugly as sin, or terribly insecure and think that caking yourself in product is going to fool anyone.

IT'S NOT. Ya know that giant zit in the middle of your head that you completely panicked about this morning, and spent 10 minutes trying to cover up? WELL NOW IT LOOKS WORSE. Cakeface is NOT attractive. Well applied makeup is attractive.

(Yes, I know I'm ranting. Shush.)

I think it's awesome seeing a girl walk around school or wherever, and... you can see that line on their face. The makeup line, just above their jaw. WELL APPLIED MAKEUP DOES NOT FORM A LINE. IT BLENDS INTO YOUR SKIN. GAH.

Anyway. Girls suck, makeup is complicated, and never EVER buy blush from a transvestite because it will NOT look the same on you as it does in the case, it'll just make you pinky-red and cakey and you'll have to take the shit off before you can leave the house because you look like a fucking clown. Fucker.

I'm one of those girls who looks like shit without makeup and good with it. I have to wear quite a bit of foundation because I have shitty skin, but I've mastered the art of making it look relatively natural. Since I wear alot of foundation, I go light on the eye makeup and never wear lipstick.

I kind of feel like I'm 'faking' and I definitely have a little anxiety if someone sees me without makeup. But at the same time there are better things to worry about, and no one cares what I look like except for me so I'm pretty much over my insecurities.

Since I've left highschool I've never had trouble attracting men, and none of them have been like "Oh, I don't like you anymore" just because I have shitty skin. And I have a hot ass boyfriend . So meh.

I'm an actor/photographer I also do alot of make-up and costuming, so I know make up, but the only time I really go all out (wearing foundation, lipstick, hair [been experimenting with 40's/50's/70's inspired styles, superfun] ) is when I'm doing a shoot or performing.

There's a few reasons for it, I'm very picky about my make up and hair so it takes me a long time to do and foundation reacts really badly with my skin (I have quite good skin when I'm not stressed).

I like women who apply tasteful make-up, I think it enhances their efatures and attracts attention. But girls who cake it on are just scary, and in my eyes look like they have something to hide.

I use makeup to (hopefully) enhance, not mask. There's a difference between concealing things and outlining them. I use eyeliner sparingly, and lipstick. That's usually it.

well, i dont have a preference as long as they are hot who cares. my last girlfriend didnt wear makeup because she didnt want to spend the time to put it on. she was really hot without it and really hot with it. but then again she had almost perfect skin.

my school is the same.

personally, i think make up's fine as long as you don't go over the top, then it's gross and crap. using it to accentuate a nice feature, or hide some naff skin is cool i guess, but using it to the point where it looks like you're trying to completely disguise yourself is rank.

hmmm, today my friend had fake tan dark patches between all her fingers, tres hilarious.

I like the look of eye makeup, even when applied heavily or maybe especially when so. I don't really know what one might consider over the top though

i look way better with makeup than without, but then i've never really been into piling it on. it's too much effort and like everyone says, it looks fake. granted i wish i was one of those girls who could wake up and NOT terrify their boyfriends, but the way i look at it is...at least i'm at the point now where i can just accept that i terrify him and not run to the bathroom in the morning to put on my face before he can look at me.

I don't begrudge the 'natural' bitches, they can do as they please. I won't fuck them, but that's their business. You seem harbor an awful lot of hatred for such a harmless group of girls with such sweet, make-you-see-god-when-you-fuck-them bodies.

Nah, I have bad skin. I hate that girls can get away with it. Easily.

I love a girl who wears mascara, for me, it's a MUST. Eye liner is also important to me. Maybe the SMALLEST amount of concealer if they have a zit. But I also like blush and bronzer.

But I fucking hate the girls who's hobbies involve "tanning, shopping and make up".

They exfoliate and moisturize then they go to the solarium once a week. That or they spray tan 2/3 times a week. They moisturize a lot to make it last. Then they use a product that 'brings out' the pigment (don't know what it's called).

Then their skin regime, which they only need because they fucking clog their pores with the makeup. They wear enough that it could be applied with a spatula or a fucking paintgun.

Look, make up, when it's in small amounts and just enhances a girls natural features is AWESOME. When a girl uses it to disguise her mother fucking ugliness I get angry.

Have nice eyes? Accentuated them with some eyeliner and shadow.

Nice lips, some gloss.

Good bone structure (high/nice cheekbones or jawline? Bronzer/blush.

I'm probably wrong on some of those things, but you get what I fucking mean. Make up should be used to make you look better, not make you look like some one you're not.

Any way, dumb bitches never know how to apply it properly, that goes for make up AND fake tan.

Look at her ears, neck, shoulders and forehead. That's where you discover her secret.

right now im not wearing makeup. i don't wear it every day, and i guess i look ok without any. but not pretty.

sometimes, however, i want to look nice. and so i put it on. concealer, lip gloss, eyeliner, mascara, even bronzer. but i dont really use that much, so it looks pretty natural. in fact, i use so little that the only noticeable difference is that my face appears "fresher" and people start commenting on my eyelashes. i really only do it because it makes me act and feel different. prepared.

makeup is a funny thing. there are so many different varieties and ways of applying it, as well as amounts. it can look natural and invisible, or tacky and clownish.

some things i can say for sure:

whether or not the concealer matches your skin tone well matters a lot

fake tans can make you look like you are wearing a lot of makeup even if you arent

if you have a three dimensional pimple it will look worse or the same with makeup on it

After reading the second page of this thread, it reminded me of a little funny...uhm, instance, that happened at school.

I was just walking in the side door, cleaning off my shoes (Snow). When the most superficial girl walks in behind me. Her name is Diana and she's been in a few of my classes, really stupid and I wish to kill her. Anyways, she has a little friend, I can't remember her name but you can tell who it is by the sound of her voice, and the amount of times 'like' has been said. Walking up the stairs at a slower pace, I hear Diana start crying to her friend, reason she was crying? Had no cover up. Yep people, she had no cover up. Guess who walked in the door next? Diana's little flirt, I heard her run away as her friend stalled the guy. Funny shit.

Moral of the story: If you're that dependent on makeup, then you should just go..die? It looks like crap, the amount of cover up I see this girl wearing, it practically flakes off in the wind and hits poor kids in the eye. I see this so often too.

Sure its understandable to wear some, but when its packed on and packed on some more, you just turn into a walking paste face of some sort...not fun, or good looking.

I don't normally wear make-up. I get compliments from guys ALL THE TIME because I still look good without make-up.

On the occasion that I do, my boyfriend really likes it.

Some girls are so damn ugly without it, it's like they're cheating with all that shit caked on their face.

I'd say it depends on how much they use and how good it looks. Not just from far away, but from real up close also.
