Default Birth Control

So my girlfriend recently started the pill. After waiting well over the required amount of time, we finally had sex without a condom. While I do love raw-dogging it, I will admit it really, really freaked me out. I just can't get over my huge fear of filling her up.

What do you guys think? Is the pill good enough for you?

That fear is probably a good thing...means you may not be paying child support for the next 18 years. And remember that she probably feels a bit that way too.

Give it time.

I remember after my husband had his vasectomy I worried for like a YEAR about getting pregnant.

I wouldn't worry too much if she's on the pill...As long as she takes it properly it is extremely effective.

i'm on the pill and my boyfriend and i still use condoms. occasionally we go without, but not that often. we both just feel a little more secure knowing there are two methods, not just relying on the pill. i take it regularly and all, but i'd rather this than kicking myself later for not doing something so small that could make such a big difference.

Not at all silly. I think it's a very good idea, and there is basically zero chance of pregnancy resulting.

Birth control is not nessecary if you respect God's law.

You should only be having sex a woman you are married to. Children are a blessing from God.

shut up.

anyway. i've used just the pill for like 2 years now and i'm fine knock on wood. think about it, it's over 99% effective, and i hear people on here all the time saying to "at least use condoms." as long as she doesn't have anything that results in bumps, redness, oozing, or discharge, then you're not going to die from using only the pill. i know, i know, use 2 forms at all times. but then i'd be a hypocrite.

and i'm sorry for punching my boyfriend in the clavicle.

Condoms suck... plain and simple.

Sure, I'm the guy with an unexpected baby on the way, but I still stick by my no condom rule.

Take what you will from this post...

Condoms cannot compare to barebacking.

That said, I don't bareback anymore. I have no desire to catch teh HIV or father any children.

Condoms won't protect you from STDs. The natural voids in the condom are small enough to stop sperm, but the virii that cause STDs can still get through.

Using condoms in conjunction with the pill isn't a bad idea. Neither one is 100% effective.

Using condoms and birth control is the best possible idea, at least until we get male birth control. I just don't trust women enough to take their word that they've kept current with the pill.

Groan, I can never tell if people are trolling the shit out of me or if they're really that stupid. And I like HideandSeek, he's very skilled albeit a lil obvious

I wouldn't waste money on pills if I'm using condoms already

Honestly, the BC pill is only about 67% effective, I wouldn't worry too much, but that means 33% still get pregnant without fault in schedual. If you are really nervous, try something like a spermicidal lube, foam or jelly. You'll still be "raw-dogging" it but with those being about 40% effective you will put your chances of not getting her pregnant pretty high, I would say about 98% also, following her cycle will do even more. Girls are usually most fertile right in between their cycle for about 3 days. So if you use condoms and pill during that time, and the spermicidal whatnot the rest of the time you shouldn't need worry anymore.

The only zero-chance of pregnancy is the evil c-word....celebacy...I said it! I need to go pray now...

Well, if you don't want to go back to condoms, but still want a second measure of protection from pregnancy, have her talk to her gyno, about a diaphram, less effective alone then a condom, but with the pill, it should give reasonable protection.
