After having read a few threads on totse, especially those with any pics posted, I noticed alot of you have strong opinions as to what makes a person, especially female persons, fat.

Most of you would probably consider me obese (hey, I'm working on it, I used to weigh almost 200 pounds, I'm down to 165ish now)

So, in totse's opinion, what weight would I, at 5'8.5" have to be to be considered not fat? sexy? beach+ swimsuit ready?

I'm 5'1" and I weigh about 125. I'm not fat or skinny...I think I'm just about average. Now my sister is like 5'7" and she weighs 160 and she's not fat. I mean she's a little chubby, but it's not gross or anything.

People have different body types, so there's no universal weight for everyone.

I'm 5'5 and about 110-115 lbs, and I'm nowhere near fat.

At 5'8 and 165, you're either built like a bloody tank or you're fairly on the chubby side. I think at 5'8 a healthy average would be around 140-150, but numbers are kinda fucked up, so judge by how you look and feel, not by the numbers on the scale.

I was in a thread last night where the op posted pictures of his fuck buddy. She had some body but was not obese by any means. Pretty much every reply was commenting on how fat she was. Apparently almost no one else on totse would touch a cow that size! :-o I would guess the girl was maybe a size 12 or 14. Just my guess.

Now in this thread, most don't like stick chicks. Size 8-14 seems pretty good, no Auschwitz bodies..

It isn't about what you weigh, it is about your muscle to fat ratio.

Two people sitting at 5'8" both weighing 170 lbs. can look completely different. One can be ripped, and one can be fat as fuck. It all depends on how much muscle you have.

I'm not sure guys have a perfect understanding of female sizing; a size 14 is very much on the voluptuous side. Perhaps you guys could post pictures of women you feel are the ideal size?

Depends on your frame and crap.

Anything under 150, I woulnd't call fat. I'd say 130-140 would be ideal, top end if you've got wide hips, maybe less if you're narrow.

Well, I've got a medium frame (did the elbow mesurement and such) and an hourglass figure (meaning my hips and shoulders are the same around) but I'm also bottom heavy, most of my weight is in my hips, thighs, and a bit of a ponch, but I dont have that much around my chest.

and despite having been fat for a long time, I have no boobs to show for it ; ;

But, my target weight is 140 to 150, depending on how I look when I get there.

Doesn't it all matter on muscle mass and fat mass on ur body? sicne muscle DOES weigh more than fat. you could be a huge obese person weighing like 200, while a person looking "normal" could just have more muscle mass and weigh 200 pounds. I'm like 124 pounds, 5'7" ish

in high school, i was a little heavy. about 5'4" and 160lb/72kg. these days i'm about 5'5" and 143lb/65kg. i think that beforehand i was 'fat', now i know i'm a normal weight i still have the same figure in my head. not great.

Like it has already been said, doesn't fucking matter what you weight, but what you look like. A woman at 5'10" could be 180 lbs., but carry it very well and still look phenomenal.

Not to say you look bad, but it seems like you have big hips with a small bust. So I am guessing that is why you feel you look disproportionate. So would I reccomend maybe shedding 10 healthy pounds? Yes, but 30 pounds seems a bit excessive though.

You definitely aren't fat or unattractive in the least. But to be honest, your body is a little disproportional.

If you choose to lose weight, don't go overboard. Curves are good.

Not to say that it is bad, but I think the shape you are wanting to get in is probably a firm 145 or 150. I wouldn't go as low as 130, especially since you are going to end up losing a lot of muscle, and look even more soft and chubby.

I find it quite easy to fall in love with most body types. But I am very fussy on some things though...like how a girl sounds though...I care more about accents and vocabulary than boob size and waist ratios.

How old are you? I've found that I'm getting way more confident as I get older (I'm 20 now). I was considerably thinner when I was 16, but I still wouldn't even wear a bikini, let alone take a picture in one. But now I've realised that no one gives a shit what I look like in a bikini. I don't have a stellar body, but I'm just a normal girl, and it's not like people will run screaming if they see me on the beach in a bikini.

The end of my junior year in h/s I got up to 140 and then I was at most a tiny bit chunky. I didn't notice much change just thicker around my arms and my middle. My ass got a tiny bit bigger and in some old pics you could see it in my face. If I would have kept going, I think 150 lbs would've lessened the double takes I get, but I hated being 140 lbs. As a freshman, I did some rigorous training, my body was SMOKIN for a fucking 15 year old. But then smoking weed gave me an appetite to eat everything in the middle of the night and I got a belly. That was totally unacceptable to me, because I've told myself before that happened I would never weigh more than 130 lbs.

I refuse to "let myself go".

However, on a different note, that has to do with my OWN body standards. It's funny because the women I'm attracted to probably weight 150lbs+. I LOVE thick legs and nice asses on white girls. There's a certain figure that can really make more weight look good as fuck and it's usually the black women who can hold their weight better. White fat chicks tend to be flabby, while black women are firm. Yummy, I like big boobs too.

I draw the line if the stomach covers the FUPA. That's just not cool. Fat is when you start getting strange dimples around your elbows and knees. Or it looks like a tire is forming around you midsection. That's fat. Some people dig it, I don't think it's cute, but as long they wear clothes that fit (And that goes for ANY weight) it's all good to me.

Kudos for bravery in posting that pic, but you could sure as hell stand to lose about 20 lbs. Your figure it plumpy and stumpy. Not sinewy. And girls should aim for sinewy.

Umm, weight effects people differently, dumbass. I'm a size 5/7 and my measurements are by what they call "perfect". My body has looked damn good at 127lbs as a sophmore, not so good when I was losing it from 140. Fat weighs less than muscle.

Actually a size eight is not very large.

You would be surprised, if you have the right body type, how evenly the weight can be distributed. To look at me most people are surprised I wear a size eight, and most would guess a size five. It's the cut and fit that make all the difference. Oh, and I suppose the designer as well. Although I never buy designer clothes.

Well, sickboy has a nice voice IIRC (been a while since I spoke to her). And whiteness is always a plus.

If I went above 125-ish I'd consider myself a little chubby. However, I have a very tiny frame and very small bones, so it won't apply to everyone. I'd probably look terribly skinny and weird if I had normal-sized bones and weighed what I do. A friend of mine is the same height as me and weighs I think 130-140ish, and she's not fat at all. All depends on your body type.

Weight really doesn't matter. I have a friend who's 5'8" and she's one of the leanest, most ripped girls that I know. She weighs somewhere around 150 (pounds). I've also known chubby girls that weigh around 120. I'm 190 and ripped, my brother who's the same height and 140 has a beer belly.Try and lose fat instead of "weight" and you'll be good.

If your having trouble judging relative bodyfat levels, a good measure is your waist diameter. I don't know about water retention, but it really doesn't fluctuated much due to muscle loss or gain. It's mainly influenced by fat storage.

Your body sort of looks like my body, except I'm more of an hour glass shape, where your body is more more pear shaped.

I'm 5'8" 190, but I've always been really built, and I'm military, so there is not much chance to get fat...

Fat does weigh less than muscle, and a pound does weigh a pound. Does lead weigh more than wood? of course, a cubic foot of lead will weigh more than a cubic foot of wood.

Are you sure you should be making sure other people are sure about calling other people dumbasses?

I'm wondering how some of you people passed the fifth grade. A pound is a pound. A pound of fat weighs the exact same as a pound of muscle. A pound of fat takes up more space than muscle. That is the difference.

No no no, you can't just try and sneak in this cubic foot bullshit. That wasn't what was originally stated, and it has been said before that it is the density of the two subtances fat and muscle which was the real answer. Not which one weighs more. Bitch! And yes you dumbass.

People rarely take body fat percentages into account, which could make a huge difference. A guy could be like 5ft 6 and 160lbs, and either have either be ripped or be pretty flabby.

And just out of curiosity, what does 5ft 6 and 140lbs on a teenage male make you think? Is that light, heavy, average? What if you can still see your ribs and you fit that profile?

On the bright side a woman at work walked by me yesterday and commented on how "skinny I look today".

But most of all...I just feel better. That's why I started going.

I don't know what my measurments are....I do know I still have like 5 pounds I want to lose, but to be honest I don't know that I would EVER consider myself thin enough. What's wierd is that my husband has never looked fat to me, but according to weight watchers he needs to lose 44 pounds!! Seriously though, he's not even fat, but if I needed to lose 44 pounds I would be a total whale.

The funny thing is Xiao, that no matter what I weigh, the ratio is still the same. At my thinnest or fattest I never had more than a seven inch difference between my bust and waist or my hips and waist, even at my age.

What people are saying is that you can be muscular and weigh, say 160, and still look great. You can be fat and weigh 160, and you'll be alot bigger, because muscle weighs more than fat.

And the density is the reason it weighs more.

Oh, and my measurements are 36, 28.5, 40

Waist is around the thinnest part though, not taking into account my love handles

I did that like 1AM last night. So, there are some definite flaws. The shading on her left leg and stomach aren't very good. Some of the edges are also kinda jagged.

Good point. But, if someone says they are a little thick and they want to lose the weight, it can be beneficial to give them a little push. Of course, the goal always has to be realistic.

The first photoshopped picture was pretty much my attempt at making SickBoy have a body kinda like Lindsay Lohan (pre coke-whore). You know, thin, but still has some very feminine looking curves. And most of all, healthy looking. And honestly, that's the kind of body I find most attractive on a girl. Some girls look good when they are thinner and more athletic looking, such as Jessica Alba. Others, like Lindsay Lohan and Sickboy, actually look better when they have a little more curves on them.
