Default "I'm just in it for the lifestyle."

My oldest friend in the world has been approaching me for money or free crack for the past while.

"I need money or free access to crack so that I won't become a crackwhore again."

Well, in the past I've set people up so that they could enjoy that predicament. She is aware of this face. I have a long and storied past with this woman, but that doesn't entitle her to lean on me to enable.

I've helped her get clean a few times, but she loves her crack more than anything else in life. I'm leaning towards letting her find her own way. We both know that I can set her up, but I have no interest in helping her enjoy that lifestyle.

I helped her father track her down in a crackhouse years ago. He busted down the door and found her in bed with three guys, completely twisted. That was the last time I heard from this girl. The father is so crushed at this point that he begins crying if she is brought up in conversation; this is a jackketch type of fellow, minus some of the perversions.

Nobody should put a friend into the position of condemning them into hooking for drugs. Yet, that's the place where I'm standing.

make her break the habbit...

lock her in a room for 3 months with nothing but a bed and food given on a daily basis

after that she shouldn't really feel the need to cave to crack... unless exposed to it, but she should prevent that too

You putting a gun to her head and telling her to spread her legs? You forcing that pipe into her mouth to jack up?

I'll assume that if she's agood friend of yours then she's intelligent enough to know that she's addicted and that it can only end in the graveyard or jailyard?

I believe everyone has an absolute right to go to hell in a handcart in a manner of their own choosing and she has chosen hers.

You are not your sister's keeper on this one.

I'll also assume that if she comes to you for any other kind of help (non-drug) that you'll be there for her as you should for a friend and that if she asked you to help her get clean again you'd do so?

Cos thats where your responsibilty in this matter begins and ends.

I'm not quite sure what you meant or how you see me.

I hope your impression of me is of a kind, gentle soul. A caring touchy-feely sorta guy whose only wish is to improve the lot of his fellow man and spread the love of Christ.

You should really try to get her into rehab of some sort.. Helping her get crack isn't really helping her at all.

Look at it this way, one of two things could be happening here:

1) You are friends with a crackhead. Do you really want to be friends with a crackhead? No. So cut the cord and let her fuck up her own life.

2) You are not friends with a crackhead, but some crackhead is making you her personal doormat- Daddy Warbucks style. If this were the case, you are getting walked all over, and shouldn't be giving that girl any cash.

I know this is just a swear and sigh situation.

jack, I was just offering an example for people without offering any actual information; a simple allusion. I was putting it forward as a hard man, but one that has a generally good heart.

After some consideration, I'm going to tell her that I won't do anything to help. I'm here if she needs some help getting clean, permanently; or if there is some other serious issue.

Who thinks that using a drug condemns someone to being a bad person? That's a very foolish outlook.

At the end of the day mate, you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.

Do her a favour and she'll be in the same situation god knows how long from now again once her easy ride is over.

Don't and she'll be in the situation quicker.

My sister was on crack...Probably still is...It's a bitch of a habit to kick.

The person has to want to kick it and stick to it.

All I can say is it's damn unfair for you to be put into this situation, mate.
