Stoic attitudes toward sex?
It stuns me, but so many of my friends/acquantinces have really stoic attitudes when it comes to girls enjoying and wanting sex and physical intimacy.
I'm a 17 year old female, and while I haven't lost my virginity, it's probably going to happen soon, and I'm not going to lie and say I'm not looking forward to it. I am. And when I'm with my boyfriend, I want him to touch me, because I enjoy it. But for so many of my friends... "Gadzooks! The young lady wants that dirty boy to touch her? AND SHE LIKES IT? The very thought!" Yet they completely understand if it's a guy wanting the same thing.
It surprises me that in this day and age, people can have such old-fashioned views when it comes to females and sex. Example: When I was talking to a few of my friends about staying at my boy's place over the weekend and made a sly comment about looking forward to it a lot, the majority of them were shocked. The only one who understood was a friend of mine who's in a long-running and very loving relationship.
Maybe you need to have experienced that kind of relationship to understand, or maybe it's just my particular group of friends, but has anyone else noticed this phenomenon?

Re: Stoic attitudes toward sex?
They're all lesbians.
Because there's no way they can hold a stable relationship with a normal sex-craving man if they have that attitude.

Re: Stoic attitudes toward sex?
But that's the thing, none of us would ever consider another one of us a 'slut'. None of us are 'sluts' in the first place... maybe thats why, it's an inexperience thing? But I'm relatively inexperienced still, and I don't hold the same views they do. It's bizarre.

My girls are sluts. Sometimes I wish that they had a little more dignity.

Re: Stoic attitudes toward sex?
twisted_miss, it's because you are friends with immature fuckwits who need to grow up. Yes, culture largely instils in them an outlook that is far more shame-based than men, which is why they act shocked in a siutation that if it involved a group of guy friends talking everyone would laugh, high five, sarcastically jeer, etc.
People need to overcome the bad aspects of the culture they are born into to be a more free and insightful person. Until you are capable of doing that you are immature.
