Like, if we were to find animals on the dark side of the moon or mars or something, what would they look like?

I would think on mars the primary color of everyone's fur or skin would be that redish rust color.

But other than that?

It all depends on the environment.

For instance, a planet like earth in every way would have similar animals to the ones we know. Now if the planet were an ocean world, with very little land (and no sentient civilization), I suppose the undersea creatures would be far more evolved.

That might mean extremely large whale like creatures, that could dive to depths unheard of on earth.

If we are assuming Mars I would say tall because of gravity, reddish for camoflauge, lots of fur for the cold, probably resembling peptilian in where they go and sunbathe to warm up there cold blood/ alien equivilant. I think.

Or maybe even if a dominant life form evolved as humans have on earth??

It really all depends on the environment. If there is no light, they may not have eyes, or eyes that see heat or something other.

It depends on the enviroment. If the evolution went as it did on earth, if an asteroid didn't pwn the dinsaurs, the sapient beings would be reptiles. We'd be reptiles if the yucatan asteroid didn't pwn thje dinosaures. Mammals would have never evolved. If the enviroment was different they'd be different. If there's lots of radioactivity maybe they'll have an organ that works like a geger counter so they can avoid very radioactive areas. If its a water world with no forests then I guess the under water creatures won't breathe oxygen dissolved in water as there will be no oxygen. Chlorine maybe? Maybe there won't be water and ammonia will be used as a solvent.

Maybe if it's there's little light they won't have eyes, but scales that sense IR like the sidewinder snake. If it's really cold it will kill the cold bloded animals and warm blodded ones that can hybernate will probably evolve. Maybe they'll use their farts as jet engines like in the movie Alien Planet (by Discovery Channel). Maybe they'll use their farts for fighting, flamthrowers like. The electrical eel makes electricity, the alien animal could have an organ that makes a spark by it's asshole heh. Maybe they'll be like hot air ballons. Maybe they'll have radios so they can have telepathy. After all all that is needed to emmit electromagnetic waves is a moving charge like electrons in a wire. They could evolve the ability to do that. You guys gotta watch alien planet. It's these scientits speculating what life on other planets will be like. It happens on darwin 4 , a world in a dual star system of darwin. The planet is explored by two probes Ike and Leo. They both get pwnt by locals who are these things that use air bladders to float in the air.

BTW, I hate Dan Brown. I read Digital Fortress and Deception Point and while they are good books Brown doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. Oh yeah, a rifle that melts sand for glass bullets. Fuckhead even wrote at the begining of Deception Point that all the technologies in it are real. Moron.

That's true!

And hey.. What if our grand-grand-grand(...)-grandfathers were aliens that came to earth and started colonies here!

So "aliens" are very much like us!

What if the first life on earth was bacteria from a alien asteroid which crashed into the sea?

Then everything is alien sort of?

shottyupaninfant, the asteroid theory generally isn't accepted anymore. It hasn't been debunked, but it looks more likely that the reason most dinosaurs died out was to do with the way their lungs used air.

Hmm...imagine what it would be like if we found life on Jupiter.

Jovian whales the size of iceland, that's what Carl Sagan was thinking.

Well, the one I'm reffering to is still debated too, here's some starting points for further reading: http://tinyurl.com/mm2dz http://tinyurl.com/mcvgs http://tinyurl.com/qxd9t

Again, this is just a theory, but less and less scientists are going with the previous comet theory.
