| Art and Design If you like it, is it Art? What is the difference between a good design, a bad design and bad taste? Does form follow function? If something works, does it matter what it looks like? |

I know it's possible, using color, brightness, and contrast settings in photoshop, to make tight, dark clothes essentially transparent... I've got a photo of a frind of mine braless in a black top taken with a camera with a flashbulb and I want to play a joke on her... anybody have any good tips for making the shirt more transparent in photoshop?

There's no quick answer to that. If you can already see through the shirt, then you could play around with color sampling from the visible skin, and try to tighten the match.
If you can't see through the shirt, then you'd have to create the bare torso from scratch, maybe substitute the pixels, like with clone stamp?
Try posting the pic...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm inferring you want to make the clothes "transparent" in an effort to reveal the body underneath? Photoshop can't interpolate the body details underneath. You'll need to provide another image.

Right where I want to be.

You could always dig through some porn pictures online until you find one in approx. the same pose/body dimensions, and somehow get that "under" the shirt by playing with transparencies and overlays.
I can envision how to do it in my head, but explaining it is an entirely different matter...

Like many things in life, the only way to find out is to Practice, and PLAY!!
if you're asking whether or not you can make your friends clothes disapear and reveal her naked body, No. No you cant reveal what isnt in the photo.
As already suggested, if you want a picture of your friend naked, trawl porno sites for appropriately similar scaled pictures.

No, I know Photoshop can't do that, no I'm not posting the pic (it's a private joke), but RedMoPho gave me the answer I wanted, thanx.

mmmyes, i do believe if you go into layers and click the picture of the eyes so it has a cross through it, corresponding to the layer name "black shirt"
