Long Wet Reflux Guidelines
After much practice at preparing the ingredients for an E/I/RP reaction, swim is finally ready for his first dream. Suppose that swim plans to do a long wet reflux dream.
What are good ratios of ingredients? The one that swim is most interested in is the dH2O. The short hot dry rxns seem to use around 0.5 to 1.0 ml of dH2O per gram of E. How wet is a reflux dream supposed to be?
Swim obtained what he thinks is a reflux condensor. The glass tube has connections for circulating water around it. The big question is whether the top should be open to the air or whether it should be attached to a balloon or push/pull device.
Thanks in advance for advice from the long slow wet cooks.

1ml per gram of E.

Never cook without a "catch" for the expelled gases if using a hose/tubing to push out the gases. And either the gases go into a water resevoir or into a push pull apparatus whereby the tanks have water as well.
Use a ballon. Never get casual with phosphine gas which HI produces. You're asking for brain tumors if you are casual around it.
You guys ever notice that the long wet is hotter than the short fast?! Or am I the only one who's noticed that since the beginning of the long wet's inception.

Re: Long Wet Reflux Guidelines
no swim has not noticed lwr(long wet reflux) to be hotter, I think it may give that impression due to more water in lwr therefore more little bubbles boiling and toiling. swim keeps oil bath bout 120c for 36hrs for lwr. For hot and dry the oil bath gets taken up to up to 170c(space dope) for 2hrs. LWR is the way to go much more user friendly. ratios for lwr=
1ml dh20/1g psuedo/1.25 I2/0.75 rp
mix I2 and psuedo together first, chop with razor finely, the finer the better.
Put this into reaction vessel cover top place in freezer for five to ten minutes.
add h20 then rp then put on condensor, there should be no violent reaction. Set temp to 120c and leave for 36hrs.the amount of water stated is for a 36hr reflux.

Re: Long Wet Reflux Guidelines
I never go above 200 degrees F.
I wasn't referring to getting the impression by the bubbles and wetness and shit man.
I was referring to the methods discourse out there for LWR as they call for hotter temps than those for the old push/pulls and short and fast fuckers.
And if you want to see a violent reaction come ewatch a 6000ml sometime with 4 ozs of E and while its at its most viloent stage come take a look at the temperature.
I guarentee you it'll be no more than 200F.
I'm not sure why you are telling what you did above me here as in a manner you know better what I'm talking about but I know damn well why I said the remark I said about LWR's bing hoter yet the shrt is referred to short/hot/fast's.
You kids are crazy with your one gram nano's man!!hehe.......why not at least do an eight-ball batch as a bare minimum?!
At least then a fuck up will surely at least yield a gram.
A gram cook will yield what?! A 1/4g max?!
Crazy I tell ya!!
170C is a temp I have never seen in my life man.

Re: Long Wet Reflux Guidelines
who ever said it was a nano? the ratio was referring to any amount of product. I just re read my post, and I should of explained better I agree with ya.

Re: Long Wet Reflux Guidelines
well i guess everyone has there own preferences about how much they like to cook. some are good at doing nanos,,,, swim on the other hand finds nanos to not be worth the time or effort. swim would never start with less than 10gs of E. and thats at the least. because even if you fuck up a little you can still pull 3.5 of good product out. (unless you fuck up a lot, then you can still pull a little at least). but if you do good than you will get a killer yeild and have a good time doing it. see, even if you loose with a bigger cook you still win.... cause you will still get something at least. if you fuck up on a nano even a little dont expect to get any thing back. at least thats what swim has found,
