Red+Flakes=???
SWIM has a bubby that claims that he adds RP to his H3PO3 when doing a big batch. Buddy says that the RP is needed in bigger batches to help the H3PO3 convert all the E into meth. SWIM says he's full of shit but would like some other people's feed back on this.

Re: Red+Flakes=???
Tell him he speak pure fiction. H3PO3 is with some threshold for its action of making HI with I2.
Tell him he needs a bigger flask and wider spread of the flask bottom if anythig.
But that's if like he's doing 4oz's in a 1000ml erlynmeyer or some shit.
It'd be like a volcano outta that fucker actually!! hehe.....
Yeah. Tell him it's fiction.
Red recycles out of the post RXN
H3PO3 don't.
Other than that the difference in recycling HI is no different.

Re: Red+Flakes=???
Jam is right, your friend is full of it! My friend SWID has performed many H3PO3 rxn's and he said adding RP to H3 is like adding dirt to a glass of water, you can still drink it but you need to filter it first.
H3 is a clean, fast acting rxn, very calm. You can actually cook twice the amount of E in a flask at one time as you can an Rp rxn. Why??? Because H3 is also a very tame rxn, doesnt bubble or try and climb out of the flask like RP. There are many advantages to H3 over RP, why in the world would you want to complicate it by adding RP to it!
