Swim's friend tried recipe 4 khat one of the ingredients it calls 4 is (Potassium Permanganate) or KMn04, Couldn't find it any where Finally found it at wally world in the fish supplies called "Clear Water" it say's on the back Active ingredients Potassium Permanganate Directions: 1 tsp to 10 gals. water. The Rec. called for 100 MLs to 100MLs DH2o,then take 15.5MLs from that mixture and add to 250MLs of DH2o.

So,friend did all that and went thru all the steps.After 8 hrs the mixture was a light orange/brown with white powder in the bottom. After 12 hours filtered it and no crystallines.

Question is was friend suppose to mixed the "clear water" w/th 10 gals. of water first? that's the only thing I can figure he did wrong.

the clear water probably had other shit in it besides KMnO4. was there any inactives? go to sears and look for it in the water section.

i think you fucked up. the point of filtering is to remove the Mn from the mix. you are supposed to evap the liquid to get the methcathinone. i hope swim kept the liquid.

lets review the steps

1. make a concentarted solution of dH2O/KMnO4 at room temperature (25c, 75c).

2. take out 15.5mL and dilute with 250mL dH2O, chill to 0c or 32f.

3. dissolve 3g pseudo with ~400mL dH2O and chill to 0c.

4. after both liquids are 0c, mix, stir, and chill to 0c for ~10 hours.

5. set mixture out and let warm to 25c.

6. filter until clear, may need to slightly recool to remove the cloudiness.

7. evap the liquid. may want to add some alcohol while evapping to thin it out and evap better.

the recipe also says to add IPA when you take the mixture out and let warm, but if you add slightly over 3g pseudo, and dilute 15.5mL concentrated solution with 250mL water, then adding IPA is totally unneccesary. the IPA is added so extra KMnO4 doesn't oxidize the pseudo further to useless shit.

i personally prefer to up the batch to 21g pseudo, and everything else multiplied by 7. this makes any fuck ups less...fucked up. also, a 3g batch will give you a little under 3g cat, and that can go quick, if you have friends.

O.K. here are the steps that were taken.

1. put 96 pseudoephedrine hci in strainer 2 get red off with crushed ice, rinsed twice in dh20.

2. put pills in jar added 150mls dh20,put in mic until hot then filtered,repeated 2 more times.=450mls of liquid.put in frig.

3.did the potassium permanganate next as to my first message. the only thing it had on the back of the clear water for ingredients was the potassium permanganate for the active ingredient. it didn't any other ingredients.But, it was the purple liquid and swim noticed that alot of people are using crystals.next I both jars were put in frig. and aloud to kool for 4-6 hours.

4.the next step the recipe called for was to take the jars out and mix 2gether and to put back in the frig. 8-12 hrs.Or until the purple was gone.

5.then it said to take out and add 100mls of IPA and then 2 let it sit out at room temp. for 2-3 hrs.

All it did was turn a light orange brown that it. Thanx so much for your advice every body.

your method for cleaning the pseudo is outdated. i copied this from wicked rain. it is known as the TCE/JD method.

Chems Needed:

TCE= available at your local auto parts store. ingrediants are:

Tetrachloroethylene 127-18-4 & carbon dioxide 124-38-9

Japan Dryer is used when varnishing or shellacing in humid weather. it is added to the varnish or shellac to speed up the drying process. available at hardware stores in the paint section. NO SUBSTITUTIONS



the mix desired is 10 to 1

you want to cover the powdered pill mass with 10 times the amount of fluid which we will call purple beet juice.

example: 1/2 inch of powdered pill mass in quart jar would need 5 inchs of purple beet juice. in this example it would be about 500 ml of purple beet juice needed.

so spray into a clean empty jar 500 ml of the TCE then pour in 50 ml of JD shake well and then pour it on the pill mass in the other jar. let it soak for 3 minutes NO MORE THAN 3 MINUTES. got it? good.

here is the step by step SWIM did in his first test run complete with list of active ingrediants and inactives.

ACTIVE INGREDIANTS

Ephedrine HCL .60 mg

tripolidine 2.5 mg

INACTIVE INGREDIANTS

methylcellulose

lactose

magnesium stearate

polyethylene glycol

silica gel

starch

stearic acid

titanium dioxide

1...ground up pills with mortar and pestle to a fine powder. weight of pill mass was 21.4 grams

2...passed thru a fine sieve used in canning jellies (its all plastic and works great)

3...measured out 100 ml TCE and 10 ml japan drier. mixed together and poured onto pill powder in 1 quart jar. stirred well and let set three minutes.

4...poured entire jar contents thru a funnel with a single filter and no plug. pill mass was an ugly sorta pale blue/grey. sprayed sides of filter down with TCE from the spray can with tube attached. when all pill mass was in bottom of filter it was removed twisted and rung out.

5...opened filter and spread pill mass out on glass plate. as it dried the small clumps were chopped smaller with razor blade. it was left to set untill it was totally bone dry.

6...the dried pill mass was passed thru the fine sieve again. weight of pill mass now 21.2 (a side note of caution here, to avoid the wrath of the wife buy your own fine sieve strainer from canning section of store. dont use hers as it will smell of japan drier untill the end of the time)

7...placed pill mass in clean quart jar. poured in 250 ml of denatured alcohol. stirred let set an hour. decanted, evapped,

repeated two more times.

8...took scrapings from 3 evaps (they were ugly blue/grey (but SWIM had faith in ware and was not worried) ran them through the fine sieve strainer again, poured 100 ml of acetone on the crystals and stirred and stirred and voila white crystals crashing out of tone and the tone was now the ugly blue/grey color. decanted tone spread crystals out on plate to finish drying and they were beautiful snow white crystals SWIM had to put on his sunglasses they were so white lol.

out of a possible 8.6 SWIM`s insane friend got 7.4

This sounds so much easier I don't know how you can remember all this.So, grateful for the help. One more question After these steps are taken then the chili is ready 2 try? Or is there any other steps that have to be taken? I'm sorry 4 being a pain. Thanx!
