Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
anyone have any nootropic experiences they'd care to elaborate on, in particular: their interactions, if any, w/ meth?
SWIM just started a Deprenyl (Selegiline hcl) and DL-Phenylalanine cycle. Deprenyl is a slightly altered PEA (phenylethelamine) that has action on dopamine and noradrenaline/ norepinephrine. it has antidepressant, pro-sexual, cognition enhancing, life extending properties (or so the studies indicate). more on this to follow later.
now for the interesting part: Deprenyl has three metabolites, now get this, two of them are amphetamine and methamphetamine! these appear to not b in clinical amounts, though, but it raises the question: does Deprenyl potentiate meth in vivo?
another interesting nootropic is Nootropil (Piracetam) combined w/ a choline supplement. it is said to GREATLY increase meth's effectivness?
anyone w/ thoughts on these topics?

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
Stands to reason that they would. Any Central Nervous Stimulants accentuate the action of another. Whether it be caffeine or amphetamine.
If you really want to potentiate your speed, take one teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate and a glass of water.
Alkalinity causes the body to absorb more of the speed and release it three-fold longer in it's excretion.
Meth is only absorbed by the body at a 33% rate.....67% of the rest is pissed out.
However, not so if one every four hours keeps alkaline inside.
My Desoxyn printout now has this warning telling me to not take sodium bicarbonate and other alkalining substances..
As if any half-ass wise man would oblige the suggestion after seeing what happens if they disregard the cautionary tale.
Oh and this goes for amphetamines as well. Not sure about methylpheniadate/Ritalin.

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
SWIM uses an old nursing drug guide snagged from college as his "PDR" and SWIM remembers the bicarb info on Desoxyn, does it really work?

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
If it's taken orally it does.
If one was to eat a line or two or a bowl or two on their stuff they'd notice the extra legs going on.
Weird how meth is so water soluable yet so inefficiently aborbed in our primarily water-based bodies.

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
I have been taking 30 mg of adderal and found that taking 100 mg of dilantin really helps. Much milder comedown and I seem even more focused.

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
When taking the baking soda orally, does the meth need to be taken orally also? Or can the meth still be inhaled as lines in order to get the quick onset of effects?
There is a well documented effect where some drugs are absorbed immensely more efficiently when taken with grapefruit juice. I wonder whether meth is one of them. I'll see what I can find on the net.
-----
I just did some reading. The grapefruit effect reduces the action of an enzyme in the small intestine that digests certain drugs like fexofenadine. Since most people don't take meth orally, perhaps grapefruit juice wouldn't have an effect on absorption. Oh well.

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
on the flipside of potentiation SWIM has read that ammonium chloride or ascorbic acid (vit. C) reduce meth's effectivness.

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
Any acidifying agents will will decrrease the ability to metabolize meth or amphetamine. So like take as you asked about ascorbic acid and it is much like citric acid in its ability to in some people completely neutralize the meth to an ineffective metabolite from which the body can't break down for the meth metabolites pharmokinetic action it creates.
Alkilyzing like pointed out above here a_a potentiate and increase the effeiciency of the meth metabolites absorbtion.
Which under normal PH conditions is only 33% absorbed. Same for amphetamine.
Acidifying agents decrease it down to a potential 0% absorbtion rate.
And any agent or substance which lowers the PH of the bodys fluids will result inthis effect.
So you could say the word acid is an easy way to signify whether it will decrease the metabolites absorbtion.
As no acidic agent would be excused here as it has everything to do with the PH of the digestive juices and I beleive of the blood as as they are absorbed by the liver the blood's PH is effected too.

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
good point, Jam.
annuder thing to remember is that the neurotransmitters responsible for the high (indeed most highs) come from amino acids, in this case SWIM believes the main one responsible is Phenylalanine. do u think a hefty dose of Phenylalanine would potentiate meth?

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
I don't why not a_a. That makes absolute logical sense that it would........makes me actually think of picking up some tryptophan myself and some phenylaline.
Don't forget the Omega-3 & 6 transfatty acids as they facilitate the brains utilizing these bad boys for a pure and total 100% efficacy in their action and usages.
Woaaahhhhhhhhh!!!! wwwwaaaaayyyyyyyyy oooffffff the tangent there hey?! hehe.......

Re: Meth's interaction w/ nootropics
I've done 15 studies for the drug companies and they always say not to take grapefruit before a study because it increases the potency of most drugs.
