In what order do I mix the reagents with the pfed? and what is Toluene& NaOH

SWIM puts his pfed in the flask 1st then adds his RP and shakes em around till they are mixed well. then SWIM adds his DH20. he knows EXACTLY how much DH2O to add cuz he drys his 3 reagents till they are bone sahara fuckin desert dry. then SWIM sets the flask in the fridge as he go`s about other preperations. at this time he loads the peanut oil in the pot and gets the hot plate and sets the pot on it. turns the knob to the preset mark on the hot plate that he knows will take the oil bath to 170 degrees F. then SWIM prepares an ice bath in a old coffee pot/glass carafe. SWIM then gets his electrical tape and winds a couple inchs off so he dont have to hunt the fuckin tailend of the roll when he is stoppering his flask and sets it in front of him at the work bench. so he has the tape, the one hole stopper that fits the flask he is using with a glass handmade nipple sticking thru the stopper. a 18 inch piece of clear vynil tubing with a punch balloon already attached to one end of the tubing. SWIM gets the flask from the fridge and his I2 crystals as well. SWIM now weighs the proper amount of I2 and pours it in the cold flask. he inserts his stopper in the flask untill it is TIGHT. he watchs the mix closly he dont want to see ANY smoke or bubbling at this time. he knows it looks cool and shit but his experience reminds him that it effects yields in a big way. he then takes the tubing/balloon and slides the tubing on the glass nipple and puts the hose clamp on. he sets it in the ice bath again for a couple minutes takes it out taps it around and the I2 slowly starts mixing in and its turning to this marroon red almost black mud looking shit. he holds the bottom of the flask on his arm and watchs closly for signs of bubbling and/or smoke. if he sees those signs back in the ice bath for a min or so then back on the arm. this controls the rate the rxn starts off with. when it will no longer try to smoke and shit SWIM then takes it to the oil bath and sets the flask in the oil..

the ratios SWIM uses are

1 gram of E/

1.2 grams of I2 crystals

1 gram of RP if from match books, 0.3 grams RP if its lab grade.

0.7 ml DH2O per gram of E provide the 3 reagents were bone dry. if you were to lazy to dry the shit all bone dry then SWIM dont have a clue how much water to add, guess at it i guess lol

toulene is a non-polor solvent that is used to pull the goods from the basified water layer into the non-polor layer that will be gassed or titerated to get the goods.

NAOH is lye.
