Re: Epinephrine Synthesis
Epinephrine is the active principle of the adrenal medulla, chemically described as (--)-3,4-dihydroxy-alpha-[(methylamino)methyl] benzyl alcohol.
Epinephrine is a sympathomimetic catecholamine. Chemically, epinephrine is B-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-a-methylaminoethanol Dr. Doom what you are asking here is can ephedrine by adding an oxygen atom, be synthesized into adrenaline.
The answer is no.

Re: Epinephrine Synthesis
if you want epinephrine, get a bee sting kit. Used to have to carry one wherever I went. MADLY phobic about needles, so it never got used.
In asking doctors, I found that epinephrine is a synthetically made chemical that closely resembles our own adrenaline.
I tested the theory when I was about 12 or 13. Got stung, ran as fast and far as I could on a beach.
No bee reaction.
(If I get stung, I will be comotose in 30 minutes. Kinda sad when you have to go through life in fear of a fucking bee)

Re: Epinephrine Synthesis
So what then, is the recreational use of epinephrine?
At the dermatologist, I noticed a medium-sized bottle for injections labeled "Epinephrine"

Re: Epinephrine Synthesis
I would think that since it rtaises the blood pressure, and gives you a rush VERY similar to an adrenaline rush, then speed freaks would use it to "go faster"
But then again, most "speed freaks" either haven't thought of epinephrine, or don't care.
I COULD use it for a speed rush, but 2 things prevent me:
1: I HATE needles
2. I have better ideas of how to "speed" (Not with a lead foot either, lol)
By the way, did I mention I hate needles, and most if not all epinephrine I have ever seen is in a syringe.
(Shudders at the thought of one of those contraptions.)

Re: Epinephrine Synthesis
xylocaine - which is a local anisthetic, contains 20mg/ml epinephrine. There is no recreational value to epinephrine. Unless you can seperate the epinephrine from all the other shit in one of these solutions, then you're arm's gonna be numb and thats it.
ps. xylocaine and lydocaine = same thing basically... Like the bee boy said you can get this sorta stuff rather easily in anti-venom kits ect ect...
